gfxcard question

Hi my com is running 2,x gb ram and a 3ghz p4 processor which is enough for WAR but my gfxcard en7200gs (asus) isn't listed on the WAR requirement list, any of you know if the gfxcard will be able to handle WAR without getting my com to crash every few minutes?

Thanks in advance

Just to run it? Any one the list. With that computer, a graphic card will only help so much.

Beware. The system requirements lie. If you do buy it please post back, I'm curious of the outcome.

well considering the min requirements everything reach it so saying anything other than the gfx ain't gonna run it is just plain wrong, sure it's not a 4000£ com but still got no problems playing my other games (CoH, Painkiller, EQ2 and so on) all i wanna know is if anyone have had problems running the game using that gfxcard or just a gfxcard that ai't on their list but still seems to have the mb's to run the game.

Ain't asking for a judgement of my system since a poor student as i am that ain't living with mommy n daddy have the choice quite often to upgrade my pc or get food on the table and paying the rent.... i choose food.

I'm assuming this is a reply to my post. If I came off as a flamer trying to bash your computer that was not my intent. The point I was trying to reach was that with older hardware (mobo, CPU, etc) odds are, you won't get 100% performance out of a video card anyway. Depending on how much you want to spend, you should be able to get an 8800 fairly cheap and it may do for you.

The answer to this questtion is: NO. It will not run decently.

I saw it on several low rigs, it was mainly ok, but your gfx card is really, really low end. Get one of the 8000s models for under 100 bucks and you'll do just fine!

Don't listen to people who say "lol with your rig any card is crap", that's BS. The CPU is fine, RAM is ok on WinXP, just don't expect the game to run anyway near decently with a 7200GS, honestly !

Not at all didn't take it as offence though i did read it as though my system would seem to have problems running it.

Yah well... can't afford a 8800 even though it'll be fairly heap Normally i don't waste a second thinking about using my money to upgrade my com but since there's no jobs avaliable where i live i can't earn extra cash to make that happen so...yah sucks lol.

Well think i'll just buy the game and see what happens if it runs so badly i can't enjoy it christmas is coming our way so i'm guessing that cheap gfxcard should be put on my wishlist

Well thanks for all your replies i'll post once ii've tried out the game and tell you guys how my low-spec com handled the war I live in the EU (don't know if there's EU and US servers) so if any of you are on a friendly server i'd gladly join that well if the com survives the war... leasts it'll be a little more exciting haha will i crash or join a laggfest, we'll see cheers guys.

Chances are in a Pc of that age the PSU will not be enough to run the 8800 solid and stable, especially if his using a PSU that's first generation dual 12v rail. One rail can't free up the amps it's not using if the draw on the other rail requires it which will happen with newer hardware. Or he won't be able to use his gfx card with it at all if  his PSU not an ATX 2.0. P4's were out during the prime of ATX  1.1 PSU's. It's also possible his still using AGP since his card came in both versions as AGP to PCI-E transition took place half way through the P4's market life.

well i run PCI-E..... and my system also use hyperthreading (howver it's spelled) so yeah it's old but decent enough to run some of today games. When i bought it it used a messed up version of radeons x800 even though the x800 is decent it couldn't stand against time (least not the version i had) so i replaced it with a cheap asus en7200gs.
