I'm currently doing Hu Xue-Yan's quest and he told me that fact. I assume he was talking about the possibility of losing your money when you die in a battle or something? I haven't died in the game yet (been very careful and haven't engaged in any PvP fighting) so I'm not sure if I'm right in my assumption. Any experienced gamers out there that can clarify this?

i think what he's referring to is losing money when retreating from or losing a battle. there might be people who would compete with you and if you lose, you could also lose 10% of your money (this is for pve, i'm not sure about pvp).

Now, that is not what you call robbing it is called penalty, I believed that whenever you'll die or flee a battle you'll loose some experience and money. The gold loss is around 10% of your current money, the experience I don't have any idea.

Hmm... 10% of your total gold... If you happen to carry a lot of cash, 10% of it would be a lot of money. I see now. The purpose of the bank, I mean. Before, I thought the bank is there so that you can sell your stuff in the market. Haha! Anyway, thank you guys!
Not a new thing really, In EQ2 you lose half the cash youre wearing if youll get killed in PvP.
Really sucks because it makes it hard to be less than a 6 player team ever, all gankers will try anyone to get their cash.
no, robbing is not allowed in the game, you only lose exp and money when you die in battle
you can however loot items in free league from the opponents dead merc, and as far as i know these looted items do not come from you inventory, it is just random
I probably just took the NPC's words too literally since I remember him saying 'you might get rob if you carry too much money with you' blah blah. He probably just mean money lose when you die or flee from battle. All clear now, thanks!
