Question About Quests

I just want to ask gamers out there if they have skipped some quests? I mean I am in the quest where I get to go to the nest of insects, and after I open the logbook of NPC, I saw that I skipped a lot of NPCs. Now I go back to them and start to finish them one by one. Anyone who experienced this too?Do I really need to finish each NPC quest?

    Really, you don't need to complete all quest, but almost all chain quest lead to kill a boss, I think that it's funny to see all in a game =)

    I believe the quests you've 'skipped' are probably just some sub quests that isn't necessary to be completed to finish the game. I'm the type of person who loves doing sub quests since I haven't skipped any quests that I am aware of.
