In volume one book 9 we got Evendim, book 11 added Tal Brunien., northern and southern High Pass and Goblin Town, book 13 added in Forochel. Now with voulume II we will be exploring the biggest and best dungeon in all of fantasy literature but I am already looking ahead and wondering how many new areas will be added in Volume II. So during the course of Volume I we got two new large areas, a few new smallera areas, several new small and medium size dungeons and of course the housing systems alog with the thousands of other tweaks and additions.
Just speaking for myself I am hoping to see western Eriador finished out with some new lv 10 to 20 areas around Forlindon and Harlindon, maybe some new lvl 30 - 50 stuff heading down toward Minhiriath and Enedwaith. Grey Havens, Tharbad, the Blue Mountains all offer points of interest and areas for new adventures. For the 50+ characters they could work up some stuff east down round Fangorn and west of the pass down to the Ford of Isen. Areas south of Fangorn and west of the Anduin would make a good place to start Volume III in my opinion.

Not only would I like to see a Rohan but the ability to ride down and hack up Orcs from horseback. Until you can actually be a "Rider of Rohan" there isn't any point on having it as a sub racial choice at creation.
Is PvP still restricted to that one area?
The devs hinted in a EU dev-chat that they will "move across the river and deal with a threat to Lothlorien" or something like that so people speculate that we will get to see Dol Guldur, mauybe as a raid! I hope they will create the zone between Ered luin and the Shire to connect the world and give us some more lvl 20-30 content!
Im guessing Fields of Rohan will be the next expansion coming in 09 and will include all sorts of cool stuff when it comes to mounts including mounted combat (and maybe horse breeding )
If WoW = The Beatles
and WAR = Led Zeppelin
Then LotrO = Pink Floyd
i honestly dont see why anyone would want more lev 10-40 content. i mean THAT is already so damn simple it isnt even funny, why add more places to do the simple leveling? dunno, i dont really see how they will ever use up that huge map but adding 10 more levels is what like maybe a week of solid gameplay? ok 2 weeks, 1 week for people to play through the areas and then the next week all the sites will be updated with quest guides so the other 95% of players can hit cap again (it is lotro after all).
maybe they will add another super cool hobby like playing with a yo-yo, since fishing is so damn exciting im sure more useless hobbies are in the works. i honestly dont understand what keeps people playing this game. i went from standing start to level cap in 8 days played (and hell no i didnt buy any gold or powerleveling, i barely even partied till i hit cap and started doing rift runs). the next 3 50's came even faster. why do people play this game month after month? it seems to make more sense to wait 4 years until they flesh out the map and then play it all in 1 big burst.
what you dont understand about this game (and the books) is that its not the end of the journey that is the best part...its the journey itself. i love this game for adding in new low level content as i keeps the game fresh (for everyone) and makes leveling an alt that much more fun. giving players such vast amounts of options means people should never really get too bored (as you are able to move to a different area, sometimes 2 different areas). i agree hobbies need an update though.
as for new areas. i would love to see Mirkwood. Rohan is a must (but i forsee an expansion for that).
MMO wish list:
-Changeable worlds
-Solid non level based game
-Sharks with lasers attached to their heads
I imagine the next expansion will be Rohan. I was thinking about when to add a new 1-50 track, and to me the logical time to do it is when they add Dale and Mirkwood. Dale would be a great dwarf and man starting area, and Mirkwood would be a good wlf staring area. I don't know how hobbits would fit into that.
In any case, at the high end there are also some major battles that take place in those regions referred to in the appendices. I'd love to see them depicted in more detail the game (much as was done with foreschel).
I don't want to write this, and you don't want to read it. But now it's too late for both of us.
Not to come off a lore nut but Hobbits were of three distinct clases. The Fallohides, Harfoots, and Stoors. They originaly came from the area east of the Misty Mountains and west of the Anduin with the Fallowhides living pretty far to the north. It would not strech the lore overmuch to have a rogue clan of Hobbits still dwelling well to the north on the eastern side of the Misty Mountains.
@megafluxmega I can assure you that you are not the average LoTRO player. Anyway please stay on topic if you want to reply, I do not appreciate you trying to derail thhe thread .

I am guessing we will move into parts of southern Mirkwood, including Dol Guldor. Also along the Anduin, maybe as far as the Argonath (sp?) and the area where the Fellowship breaks.
As for the 09 expansion, Rohan does seem like the best bet. Although I would love to see Northern Mirkwood and Erebor/ Dalelands, I think Turbine are set on taking us to Minas Tirith and the borders of Mordor first.
