For introducing me to the Warhammer IP and the non-online game play of table top war gaming. I felt my brain cells dying with every button mash and I'm now having a blast assembling and painting my first 40k Ork army. Although I've got an eye on that Vampire Counts Warhammer Fantasy army box. mmmmmm
This is not a WAR bash thread, just a "I needed a non-MMO plugged in activity".

I feel the same way, the lore in the game inspired me to buy a novel based on the lore. My buddy is a huge warhammer geek and we're going to be painting miniatures very soon here
I really like how WAR has a really strong background to it, makes it more than just another MMO.

Honestly I didn't even know folks still did table top type games and was surprised after doing a little research how many folks in DC metro area actually are involved. After a quick visit to a Games Workshop store and looking at all the pretty slick models and multiple games running in the shop I was sold.
Even though I found warhammer online fairly boring I still love the table tops games fluff and it's nice to hear other people feel the same.
And good luck with the table top game i've been playing both warhammer games for just over 20 years even though I don't have same amount of time to devote to them there both extremely good games if you find a good group to play with.
well if anyone out in the san francisco area wants to get a group going, I have some friends and would be willing to get together, hell, maybe we can even play WAR online too
