SOE to buy AoC?

With AoC comming up on a quarterly report and no doubt falling well below expected numbers how many people think that Funcom will sell AoC to SOE?

I hope so but I doubt it ,we all know SOE has the finances to stay with an MMO and improve it but I doubt they would want to due to the fundamental issues with the game ...
But as I said I hope so as the game has potential

No.. its just speculation at this point, however I dont think its entirely crazy to begin pondering questions like this one.

why would funcom sell the only thing they have going for them at this point? If anything, SOE or EA would buy Funcom and not any one game. It only makes sense.

It's perfectly possible, considering SWG is on it's deathbed as we speak, even Smed himself couldn't claim the game has a future after SW:TOR was announced. They may be looking for a replacement, why not buy up another MMO based on a popular I.P. ?

Since SoE seems to buy all the failed games around, that's a nice thought.
Except AoC is not a failure.
You will see within a year it will approach 500K subs.
Mark my words.
WAR has the hardest job, it is difficult to implement the fun factor in that game.
SOE has another game in reserve: Vanguard. That game is in miles way better state even now, than AoC, and with some money, development and advertisement invested in it, could be very successful mmo in a long term.

AoC is such a failure, Im not sure if youre serious or just being sarcastic.
SOE has an extremely poor track record with MMOs. If, for some reason SOE ends up with AoC, then I will unsubscribe.
This game has so much potential that it will and cannot fail.
Anarchy online was deemed a HUGE ENORUMAS FAIL LOL, and that has kept up for what 7 years now? FC will live through this and we players that like this game will have a great time for long periods of time to come

kinda funny, sorta sad...quite possibly a trick. definately a better game than AoC though.

Without going into financial rubbish non of us understand or even know anything about (with regards to funcom's money) i have to say that IF SOE buy AoC it'll only get worse, anything new to the genre that did make it to release (pretty much nothing but thats another subject) would be taken out and the game would be even more simplified.. they did it to another game (no names but we all know which) and it cost them dearly in subs, because of said game being crapped out SOE have a very low reputation these days with a very large number of people.

It would make sense for FC to sell AOC. Currently FC is losing money at an alarming rate and it is also in the process of developing their next MMO, The Secret World. If FC wants to cut it's loses and focus all of it's funds and company resources on their upcoming MMO title then selling AOC to another company would be the logical step.
However, I dont know if SOE is likely to ship a team of developers over to Europe to take over the game and I also dont think it very likely to move the development team to San Diego either. Most likely would be FC selling AOC to another European company.
Vanguards only pvp server struggles to get 100 people primetime. People just don't give games a second chance when they got screwed the first time and thats a reality funcom are going to have to deal with.
