Eq2 vs WoW

I, like many of you, will be diciding which to buys next month(or whenever it comes out). EQ2, while very beautiful, is reported as have the same "substance" as EQ1.....being very little. From those who have played both or know, what does WoW have that EQ2 doesnt? Why should a person(me for instance) buy WoW over Eq2? Both look very good graphics wise but i have heard far more positive reviews so far of WoW than EQ2. Thanks

    ugggh theres 2 things wrong with this thread dude. 1) its in the WoW forums and theres already an official thread like this 1 and 2) most of these turn into fanboy flame wars

    Yeah, the WoW vs Eq thing got really out of hand here during the past few months. We have an Official WoW vs EQ2 thread in the main forums if you would like to give that a whirl.

    For one thing, WoW has this sort of "coolness" factor about it that I just don't see EQ2 having (I'm in both WoW and EQ2 Beta). Also overall, WoW is just a much more fun game to play.

    Now that the fanboi bullshit is out of the way.

    WoW is far more casual friendly, and frankly more complete at this point.
    EQ2 is a groupc-centric game, and still has some way to go before being 'complete'.

    Save yourself the trouble, and don't play either. Real life is a much better MMO anyway.
