Whats your dream mmo?!?!

how would your dream mmo be what combat system would it have levels what games would it be like would it have ok graphics or would u try to overdo it and give it crysis graphics.....

My dream mmo would be a mix of aion and  darkfall  and warhammer i would have the whole get wings deal and the combat system would be an aiming real time combat system like darkfalls i also like the idea of the building cities and i like pvp so id have giant rvr matches you can play against liek 100s of people lol i would have aions graphics  and i would base my ui on  the chronicles of spellborns and warhammers because i like their system  i would have losts of in depth but fun and not grindy quests you would be able to create your abilities and make weapons houses and other stufff like you can in vanguard. i would also want to have an amazing in depth story to back the game up i would also not have levels it would have ranks  that you get from killing peolple kind of like honor in wow but that you would gain from kkilling just about anything and you would gain xp that would be used torward your abilities  and talent points like in wow torwards special abilities.

theres a lot more things i would add to it but im not ganna type it all but thats more or less the basics.

(sorry bout the giant run on sentence my grammar escaped me...)

and also just a poll to see what people think of these games...

Really, what I want is very close to warhammer but all the players in, say a five level span all need to be in the same areas.  WAR is just way too spread out.  I really liked that it seemed more team driven though.  WoW just had way too many jerks because it was so solofriendly.

I want a world that is continually changing- like every three months there's a big story development that affects zones already in the game.  So what if that same quest you did on your last three toons isn't there anymore.

It doesn't make any damned sense that you are a maxed-out level demigod and yet, with all your magical powers and portals and shit that you had no idea there was an extra continent out there.

PvP should have real consequences.  I liked how WoW had Nagrand and EPL type buffs for owning the PvP objectives but I think the benefits of having those objectives should be so beneficial that whenever they become challened that it is the first priority to anyone in that level range.

It would also be nice to have a game where playing healer and tank classes was comparatively easymode compared to DPS classes just so there would be more of them.

Maybe that was my problem in WAR...people were just too spread out. If Mythic can make Open World RvR more important then I think I'll give it another shot. A simple solution to people being too spread out is just allow more people on the servers. Up the cap a bit and they should see more activity.

EDIT: but to answer the question...I think if WoW were to add WAR style RvR into their open world...and maybe 1 PQ per zone...and if WoW copied some of WAR's more interesting and fun quests...then I would feel like a little kid in a candy shop with a hundred dollars

Played: Runescape, World of Warcraft, Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning

I could agree with that completely if gear was more of a grind for looks moreso than function.  Let people grind arenas or dungeons or whatever for the really cool looking stuff, but let people that don't have that kind of time have completely dull looking things that allow them to still perform.

I liked that about Warhammer and Guildwarrs.  gear was easy to come by and it all came down to who played (or with WAR- zerged) better.

That goes for expansions, too- stop trivialising by such huge steps just because it is a new expansion- that is where devs ought to take baby steps.  Change the looks for sure, add some additional bonuses sure- but to appease the masses you don't have to take such huge leaps in power.  We're already running the treadmill.

Certainly none of the options on the list. I wouldnt play any of those for free.

My dream MMO would be a Battletech (mechwarrior) MMO that involved politics and capturing planets or whole planetary systems.

I want someone to make EQ all over again. Im fine with the same races, same classes and same ruleset, just give me a completely different world so it i wont be playing the same thing i played before.

Maybe put a bit more effort into PVP but primarily Faction based PVP like race wars.

Off the top of my head:

    - No levels.

    - Skills based on abilities used.

    - No stats, text representation instead.

    - Greater focus on crafting and economy.

    - Player owned housing/shops/keeps.

    - Random quests/dungeons/mobs.

    - Almost limitless character customisation (appearance, clothing etc.)

Graphics could be PS1 quality for all I care, performance is king.  I don't care if its cartoony as long as it looks alright.  Smooth movement, fps style, environment collision and such.  Knockback attacks, knockdowns, flight, naval combat, really dynamic stuff.

Limited advancement.  Spending three months leveling up your toon is silly.  The gameplay shouldn't be learning to play or advancing your character, the gameplay should be the actual gameplay.

No uber gear.  Only thing it does is create buisness for goldfarmers and make players waste many hours doing grinds for the best gear.  Everything wears out but who cares, its easy to replace.

Skill based.  No classes, you pick what skills you want to have but with limits so you don't end up with everyone running around with every skill.  You have to decide how you're going to play.

No backstory.  If I want to read a book I'll go read a book.  The story should be what the players do.

Player-made factions.  You control a territory, you hire players to patrol it or help run it.  They become part of your faction.  You get bigger, you invade to expand or defend against invaders.  You want to be a pirate?  Raid others towns and cities.  Wanna be a merchant?  Collect material in one region and transport and sell to one where its rare.  Build an empire if you can.  Do whatever you want but unlike SWG have game mechanics that accomadate this.

What he said. Although, personally, I could do without PVP.
