Guild faction question for BETA's

VineyardVineyard Member Posts: 180
Can anyone tell me how the guild faction standings work? or guild prestige or any of that? It is something I havent realy seen anything about since NDa was lifted. For the record I am just looking for real info, no speculation or conjecture or educated guesses. I am not trying to be a dick I just want to try to avoid the sort of shit storm this type of thing can bring. Any info will be appreciated.

As far as I know, that stuff really isn't in yet.

They do have the quests to get status point which you can use to buy mounts, but that's it so far. My understanding of it is as your guild 'levels' you get access to guild only merchants that sell something. They haven't been to specific with what they will be selling, just that it's super cool, and you can only get it from these merchants. I think, but am not 100% sure that as your guild rises in status you also have certain quests become available as well, but don't quote me on that one.

Odd, I would have thought they would have had more than that in place since I saw alot of guilds in the Beta screenshots. But not all to surprising I guess. Out of curiosity, Coldmeat, or any other testers, how much content do you think they havent put in the game yet and will only be implemented at launch?

As far as I know, pretty much all the content is in, although I can't say for sure about the very high end, as there aren't that many people there. I know of at least 1 level 52 mob found. But I can't say how complete that content is, since they're still tweaking some stuff. They may well have all the mobs in place, but no scripts set up, or loot tables, etc. Probably some pathing issues to ironed out. The usual things.

I know they've upped the amount of solo content, most noticably in the Commonlands as of the last update.

Thank the gods about the solo update. I tend to solo alot as my luck tends to make me be around nothing but gaggles of chuckleheads when I could group so i just do my own thing.

I know how that goes. Good lord, do I know how that is. ::::16::

That being said, My advice would be to find some likeminded, competent people ASAP. After the first 15 levels soloing becomes pretty worthless. And forget about doing any of the worthwhile quests solo, unless you're going back to do them 10 levels later. And even then you might end up dead.

I have been thinking of going the guild route but am not sure. Hey, I know, I will find you in game Coldmeat and just hang around you til you let me group with you. And if not I will bore you with useless facts about architectual schematical evaluations or 1001 uses for silk or the finer poonts to color palette selection and lighting variables.

By the way, I love the Hank avatar. I met him one time years ago and got to talk to him for an hour or so. He is very cool.
