Sim 2 or Rome:TOtal War?

Ok well i am looking for a game to hold me until WoW OB and i was wondering, should i buy Sims2 or Total War? I am fond of the sims series...

ROME:TW for the win!!! I personally cannot stand the Sims games. Played the first one for a few weeks and quickly lost interest in it. Plus, I hate seeing the Sims games topping the best-selling pc game charts. It's just a shame to the pc gamer community.

My wife loves Sims 2 but I couldn't ever get into it

This 3D Strategic Map of Rome annoys me and you only play stupid roman families.
They should remake Shogun: Total war with 3D models in battlemap and old style strategic map.

I bought sims 2.. cant stand it..
I liked sims one, for a months or two
but in the new one.. as soon as my sim died of age.. I stopped playing.
after 6 or so years, I had to change it a little...
You can play the other factions when you kill them in the Roman campaign.

Well it all matters on what kind of game your interested in right now. I own total war and I think it's a pretty good game. I've played sims and it was alright but after awhile I lost interest. So really the games are completely different so it kinda matters on which type of game your in the mood for.
Rome Total War.
The sims 2 is pretty shallow. It adds a couple tweaks and little odd's & in's. But its pretty much just the original sims in 3d without all the expansion packs.

I played rtw and I found it to get boring extreamely fast. Once you play one battle you have played them all. But im not into RTS games. Sims 2 I like cause I am more of the creative type, I like the graphics and making your own home and shit.

Ok, i really did not mean to post that 7 times. Everytime i clicked on "Post Message" it went to a advertising search website so i assumed that it didnt work. Rome: Total War. Biggest reason? Once you buy it, you know you have the full game, and not have to purchase 6 30 dollar expansions in the next year. It's also gotten me into RTS's, after playing the demo I tried some out and now I love em.

R:TW was too complex and TS2 was too slow running on my upperclass rig. I'd say go "Evil Genius" which is my current game.

It one of the best strategy games of all time, complete with an epic setting, revolutionary features and graphics, and superb gameplay and replay value!

Rome Total War for me too. I have both. I'm a HUGE RTS fan and I LOVE how real RTW is. To the poster that said once you've played one battle you've played them all that is so untrue. Every battle has different terrain, different troop deployments, strategies, and the list goes on. I've spent a good portion of my life studying battles from the Roman period along with the Greek period. With this game I can feel like I'm actually reliving some of the most epic battles. Woot, even got to play Thermopylae which btw is where my name came from. :P (Well it was in the general area and the terrain of the map was similar but it wasn't the actual battle...especially since it was a different time period.) :P
