QQ's been around for quite some time As for the nerf to healers.. I think WP's need a lil selfheal nerf as well.. a witch elf from full stealth couldnt bust through his healing this one time, equal leveled.. that seems wrong

Are you serious? Healers were the only class that could kill any other class in the game. They are the only class that didn't have to follow the paper>rock>scissors mold. I think healers were OPed and I am glad to hear they were brought down to mere mortal levels. Now healers will be just another part of the team, instead of pivotal to winning.

Well, it's going to the test server for.. um.. testing before its released to the live servers. Also, dok/wp are getting a boost to their damage/heal abilities from 250% damage healed, to 350% healed. Also all the large heal spells are dropped from 3 sec to 2.5sec. Another point is, any r40 healer could absolutely destroy a r40 bw/sorc 1vs1. People bitch about BWs because there are too many of them, and 3 BW's focus firing on one destruction player, equals a crispy destro in a few seconds. Bws/sorc are pretty usless without full combustion/darkmagic and a healer to back them up. Mark Jacobs has also said they are lowering the crit damage/or chance that the casters will do.. They've been tweaking the patch before it's even been released on the test server, I'm pretty confident they will tweak it more, where it's needed, after it hits the test server, but before it goes live.

Very good change. A Healer shouldnt be able to "tank" a melee or ranged dps classes by permanently applying HoT on himself. If an undefended healer is caught by another class, he should die, plain and simple.

With the healing changes, will be intersting to see if any tweaking needs to be done to healing debuffs down the road. While debuffs are percentage based, having greater total healing means after a debuff and a heal the person will still have more hitpoints, making them harder to kill meaning the debuff is less effective than it is now.
poor of my zealot, I am in tier 4 now and always notice that shamans ALWAYS outheal way too high in scenarios, usually by triple! And my zealot is 4ranks higher than the shamans I know. So go figure. Even with good gear my zealot is not performing as good as others healing classes.
I guess I will try the new classes and go tank, you cant go wrong with a lot of health points

Has anyone beside me ended up in a scenario with 6 to 12+ healers, nearly a unstoppable force even if your a dps machine. The team with the most healers win.
It's a balancing process. Things will go up and down like a roller coaster; one day you're overpowered and can healbot a whole team alone and the next day you're unable to keep one tank alive. In the beginning these ups and downs are bigger and they slowly get smaller and smaller. Balancing a game is not an easy task and I'd say give the balancers some time. Apart from that I think you want the a big campfest where the healers keep the whole team alive and scoring kills is uncommon whereas Mythic seems to be going more towards a zergest where the healers provide a longer life, rather then a death "immunity".
I have noticed a big difference in the players who do use Curse Mods and those who don't. Heal numbers in scenarios are simply unparalled. I fyou are not using a Curse Mod, you should.
That being said. I was a WP and came upon two Black Orcs 4 levels lower than me. They obviously guarded each other and I could not scratch one of their health bars. Do not speak about being me overpowered

However, implying that WAR devs do not pay attention to bug fixes (lol, it's got DAILY hot fixes, never seen a mmo with that agile QA team) and comparing it with single-players as if it were somehow competing with them place him clearly into the troll category.

As for hysterics, I reserve the right to be aggressive because the only way to deal with trolls is to stomp them. I've tried to be civil before and it simply does not work - a troll is an unreasonable creature and you can't reason with it, almost by definition. They count on wearing you out by constant repetition of whatever they're peddling - once you give up fighting it is their version of "truth" that becomes a given, no matter how erroneous it is.
A good example is the idea I've seen new posters get when asking, in full honesty and naivete, what is the state of the game? They invariably get the impression that WAR had a horrible launch, comparable to AoC and Vanguard - and all due to a handfull of eternal trolls. The whole idea is completely preposterous considering that it is widely acknowledged by both the industry and players in general that not only that WAR's launch wasn't a bad one but actually amazingly smooth and maybe even the smoothest yet of any mmo. We can talk about lots of stuff that are iffy with the game but calling WAR's launch anything but stellar is utterly ridiculous. Overall this game needs huge balance fixing, and the fact that beta was hastily shortened completely shows. Now the developpers will need to nerf several classes, angering the playerbase, and showing the lack of polish of their game.

I meet a zealot 1on1 with my warrior priest. We just could not kill eachother. We finally just stopped, waved and went our seperate ways. That experience kinda killed WAR for me.

Yes, in theory they cam beat most classes if the other guy is afk... Comon, how long is it going to take? Besides healer have no means to slow down the opponents, so the guy can just run away and the healer cannot do anything about that.
This is about archetype, a healer should have excellent survivability, period. Otherwise what is the point? Playing a healer can be a chore sometimes, if you don't give them something, nobody will play them.
It just seems to me that they want to go more fast-paced route with everyone doing damage, as hybrids. I just think that won't be much fun for me as I absolutely hate GW.

Anyway the nerf bat can appear in several flavours. Boosting almost everyone is a delicate and elegant tactic of summoning the little critter without making many waves, wich seems to be the case in this patch.
One rather interesting and pleasant surprise i got when i started playing WAR was the fact that the game looked to be "comunity whining nerf bat callers" bullet proof. And so it was for a while.. seems they lost that too.

Are you serious? Healers were the only class that could kill any other class in the game. They are the only class that didn't have to follow the paper>rock>scissors mold. I think healers were OPed and I am glad to hear they were brought down to mere mortal levels. Now healers will be just another part of the team, instead of pivotal to winning.
This is pretty much how I feel. I canceled my account due to the OP healing in this game. From what I read on the patch notes they did not even go far enough.

Please tell me ONE example of a mmo that isn't being balanced constantly.. Just ONE. It is a perfectly normal thing and not only with mmos these days. What are you talking about?
And the "nerf bat" is completely ridiculous. 95% percent of class changes are buffs - even the damn BWs got slight buffs to their DoTs... There is only a slight reduction to HoTs all over the board and some CC abuses at higher levels have been addressed. FFS direct heals have even been BUFFED by decreasing cast times. Ironbreakers have had their grudge accumulation slowed down but with radical decreases to low end grudge skill costs. And that's it - hardly a "nerf bat" by any account.

Patching crap like witching Night eetc aint gonna help to promote a game when you have on the market recently released games like Far Cry 2 and Fallout 3.

As trolls go, this one is more civil and eloquent than most, I concur... However, implying that WAR devs do not pay attention to bug fixes (lol, it's got DAILY hot fixes, never seen a mmo with that agile QA team) and comparing it with single-players as if it were somehow competing with them place him clearly into the troll category.

As for hysterics, I reserve the right to be aggressive because the only way to deal with trolls is to stomp them. I've tried to be civil before and it simply does not work - a troll is an unreasonable creature and you can't reason with it, almost by definition. They count on wearing you out by constant repetition of whatever they're peddling - once you give up fighting it is their version of "truth" that becomes a given, no matter how erroneous it is.
A good example is the idea I've seen new posters get when asking, in full honesty and naivete, what is the state of the game? They invariably get the impression that WAR had a horrible launch, comparable to AoC and Vanguard - and all due to a handfull of eternal trolls. The whole idea is completely preposterous considering that it is widely acknowledged by both the industry and players in general that not only that WAR's launch wasn't a bad one but actually amazingly smooth and maybe even the smoothest yet of any mmo. We can talk about lots of stuff that are iffy with the game but calling WAR's launch anything but stellar is utterly ridiculous. Whatever the amount of bugs it has (yes it does have some, but much less what is the norm for a new mmo) there is absolutely no justification whatsoever for calling it a "buggy mess" I've seen casually thrown around here. No mercy to trolls - they show none and none should be given to them.
Very good change. A Healer shouldnt be able to "tank" a melee or ranged dps classes by permanently applying HoT on himself. If an undefended healer is caught by another class, he should die, plain and simple.
I completely disagree! If a healer isn't able to stay alive facing another (most) class then what can they do? They certainly cannot kill anyone as their DPS is ridiculous so really what can they do? Play whack-a-mole?
I have also canceled my account. not because of this change alone, but increasing the DPS across the board is the opposite of what I think this game should be heading; fights are already too fast-paced to my liking. If I wanted to play guild wars, I would.

On the other hand you have WItch elves completely raping Ironbreakers, when they should be weak against tanks.
Overall this game needs huge balance fixing, and the fact that beta was hastily shortened completely shows. Now the developpers will need to nerf several classes, angering the playerbase, and showing the lack of polish of their game.

I meet a zealot 1on1 with my warrior priest. We just could not kill eachother. We finally just stopped, waved and went our seperate ways. That experience kinda killed WAR for me.

Yes, in theory they cam beat most classes if the other guy is afk... Comon, how long is it going to take? Besides healer have no means to slow down the opponents, so the guy can just run away and the healer cannot do anything about that.
This is about archetype, a healer should have excellent survivability, period. Otherwise what is the point? Playing a healer can be a chore sometimes, if you don't give them something, nobody will play them.
It just seems to me that they want to go more fast-paced route with everyone doing damage, as hybrids. I just think that won't be much fun for me as I absolutely hate GW.

Yup i think i got a fan there. Funny girl tbh, young ladies can get so emotive...
Anyway the nerf bat can appear in several flavours. Boosting almost everyone is a delicate and elegant tactic of summoning the little critter without making many waves, wich seems to be the case in this patch.
One rather interesting and pleasant surprise i got when i started playing WAR was the fact that the game looked to be "comunity whining nerf bat callers" bullet proof. And so it was for a while.. seems they lost that too.

Judging from you just stated, I'm not sure that you've played the game at all. Unless, of course, your post was meant as a joke. You must have meant healers can't beat any class.
