Ok so thinking about trying this out for a month or two. I cannot find a place on there website to download a digital copy of the game. I found the digital download area for trials and people who have a key, but then how do you get a key? I had a trial account back in march so it will let me upgrade my account, but wouldent I need an actual game key?

Seems to work ok for me.
Has anyone downloaded from turbine before? Is it pretty fast. I got a pretty good connections so hopefully I can get 1mb/sec.
lol I wish i was getting 1MB/sec atm Im getting about 68Kb/sec >.<
EDIT:and at the moment Turbine has stopped issuing the normal Free Trial Keys. The only way to get a trial key is someone sending you a Buddy Key. Witch there is a Sticky thread here to ask for one.

I hate to say this at this point but to snoop101 and zaylin, you shoulda waited for the release of Mines of Moria in just under 2 weeks from now. You coulda got the Shadows of Angmar AND the new expansion for Moria for about $40 I think. Currently the cheapest upgrade for the Moria expansion is digital upgrade for $30. You coulda saved yourself about $10 vs. buying SoA and Moria seperately but hey, either way it's a great game and welcome to Middle Earth! May you journey safely through it's lands.
Maybe im basing this on other MMO expansions, but I find once an expansion comes out and your not "in" the game your kinda left in the dust. I dont mind paying a bit more for a game that I like then paying a bit less for a game I play for a month then give up.
By the way I been playing since last night and so far im liking it. I play WAR for my pvp/rvr excitement and so far lotro has been filling my Pve excitement. Im finding the story is actually enjoyable and you feel like your growing (and not just grinding levels to get to the highest level)
I wanted so bad to like it, I'm into the lore and the game is beautiful looking, with many cool quest ideas and innovative craft notions, plus writing is decent. I just found it non-immersive. It could just be taste, my main issue I can identify is that the avatr felt pasted on to the environment, not in it, and the mob animations, particularly animals, seemed stiff, jumpy, and unnatural.
But I know many are able to see past those things, not trying to slam the game. Wish I liked it more.
Ya I thought about it but..one Im working on a budget, and two I would rather pay $10 and make sure I like the game than pay $40 and find that its not my cup of tea. besides X-mas is around the corner {nudges wife in the shoulder}....
and you got many levels to go before you get to the real content of Mines of Moria. Maybe by the time you are ready the price will go down as well...
btw, how are you liking the game?
Very Good, when I first played it was on a less upgraded machine so the enviroment/game looks Great! 5minutes into game i was having a friendly chat with some one, witch to be honest does not happen to often in MMOs these days IMO. Cant wait to get my wife sat down so she can check it out...shes a big JRR fan.
Now I just have to play around with the classes and see witch one I would like to play.
