Is it possible to have a stable comp that will not lag in EQ2 and has the possiblity for future upgrades for a little less than 1000$? I dont really care for high settings , i just dont wanna lag and i want the comp to be stable.

Does someone think they could maybe configure somethin for me for around 900$ canadian with that link i provided.

Thanks alot.::::09::

    You can if you build it yourself.

    Using that link (pre-built), and others like it.. doubtful.

    Building a PC is easy, just get some guides online to help you, and find a tech forum to ask questions if they pop up. Take your time and everything will be fine.

    My favorite buy from sites:

  • Yes, build it yourself, always cheaper and you get exactly what you want.

    One comment on the difficulties of building a computer...

    If you can figure out that the round peg goes in the round hole, triangle peg in the triangle hole, and square peg in the square hole; you can probably build a computer.

    If it's your first time though, I'd recommend making a shopping list and giving it to someone experienced that will check it for you and make sure you have all the compatibilities right (i.e. don't try to put a a P4 on an AMD board, that kinda stuff).

    That is a rip off. To upgrade to a saphire x800 256 its almost 800 bucks. Almost double the real price. IT should go for like 500 bucks, not 800.

    I saw the game in action on a off the shelf P4 2.4, 1 gig of ram and a 5700 card. It ran fine on medium settings with little to no lag except in one zone, and even that zone was not a gamebreaker just slightly annoying. You should be able to buy/upgrade or build your own to specs higher than that for less than $800.

    Ok so I am bored, just went over to Dell and took a 4600 (2.8 P4 with HT and a 800mz FSB) off the shelf unit, boosted the ram up to a gig and added a 9800 Pro video card and the grand price was $989.00 US. So if you are lazy or just scared there is a box which will run EQII at medium or above settings for less than a grand.

    Edit sorry did not notice you were Canadian, so that would exceeed your budget.
