in Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning

No doubt this has been a question before, but I am short on time so I didn't have a chance to browse the forum.

Does anyone happen to know if there's a free trial for this game? If so I'd be interested.

 

There's been a lot of back and forth about the game, and I wanted to try it for myself, without  spending the 60$ on a game I may not even like.

    Well nobody has replied to you, so I'll just say that I too have wondered that, and havent been able to find anything out about it.  I'd say that they r still working out the kinks in the game and the servers and all, and will wait just a bit before 5 million people try it out with free trials.

    IMO WAR is a great game, I played WOW for a couple of years and havene/wont go back.  I hated pvp in WOW, but love it in WAR, its so diverse and has soooo much room to grow.  Everyday I find out something else I like about the game--for instance I spend lots of time in pvp, but I was just wondering around and found that a keep was under attack by the order so I run by to check it out--before I know it we are in a 20x20 war with people smashing down the door of the keep with a battering ram, while the defenders are pouring boiling oil on them from above, and both sides are using seige weapons at one-another------let me just say---"lots of fun"!!!!!!!  and you wont miss the $50

    I don't know....I miss my 50 dollars, but that's just me.  There are a lot of people that love the game, right along with a lot of people who do not....pretty much like every other "major label" MMO out there.  Always best to find out for yourSELF.

    I wouldn't try to encourage or discourage anyone from playing.  Different games are suited to different gamers' playstyles, so there is really no way for you to know for SURE until you play it.

    I'm imagining that the poster I quoted above is probably right.  Once they get the "kinks" ironed out....I bet they'll have a trial of some sort.

    There are indeed a lot of very likeable things about the game, so....I wouldn't place too much stock in the overly negative criticisms of it....nor in the overly positive ones.  Chances are that EXTREME responses on both sides are tainted.
