With all the threats of quitting over the "OMG SERVERS DOWN FOR LONGER THAN NORMAL." Get over yourselves and wait. Noone likes it but shit happens and you move on. If you're so mad that a video game server is down and you can't play at the time you want to play then quit...there's no need for your stupid hate threads and posts all over the net of how unprofessional it is and whatever else you want to say to degrade Blizzard. Just QUIT...I don't give a damn if you quit and 99.99% of the other people who read your thread dont give a damn either...just do it already.
That brings me to another topic...
mmorpg.com's threads seem to me (now this may not be true for everyone) to have a general negative theme about everything in most of them. This sites forums are overrun with hate threads and flame wars. All this negativity cannot be good for people. Why can't we have more positive posts than negative ones. I read a lot of posts here and in my opinion most of them are negative.
Now here is what I'm going to assume (based on previous threads that ive read for quite a few months) is going to happen after I post this. I will get some people saying "Well your thread is full of negativity and you're not doing a good job of promoting what you preach." I'm sure I will also receive flame posts with anything imaginable in them about me, my mother, my cousin, and my cousin's dog in them. Oh...I almost forgot about the post that will have the sarcastic comment of "why can't we all just hug and get along."
Anywho...quit being so negative and show some appreciation for the games and some respect to other posters. Shit man I almost get depressed reading these forums sometimes with all the harsh negativeness flowing from almost every post.

Well if you ask my roommate noone is gonna beat them but I think the Cowboys can do it. Of course I've been a cowboy fan since I was a child and my dad always watched them and collected Cowboys stuff. We had a friggin telephone made out of a cowboys helmet. Haha anywho I dunno. I just hope my cowboys can pull something out this year.
most negitive threads are in my opinion here for two reasons. they dont post about the GOOD things because no one really cares, most good things in games are like "oh woohoo, thats nice...moving on" no one gets excited about them. but when one little thing goes wrong they get all pissy and annoyed and their stupidedity starts to show more and more. that being said, the reason its all HERE is because unlike an intelligent person and ranting on the OFFICAL forums they come to a place like this where no one can easyly find them ingame and call them a whining immature baby. i also find its all the nerds who have a no life and become addicted to the game that get the most butt hurt by a few hours of downtime...my only problem is honestly, i have nothing else todo today so im bored as all hell..but big deal, one day of boredum is nothing.

Although I agree you could have just said that you like the Raiders and feel that they will win the superbowl this season.

Actually, I didn't come anywhere and post negatively, but I did quit. Sadly, this is not the first time with Blizzard, and the problems just keep getting worse. Fortunately, Best Buy had no problems transfering my pre-order money for WoTLK to another product.
I went back to City of Heroes. I'm just not addicted to any MMO, and won't put-up with this kind of service.
Should Blizzard or anyone care? Not at all. And I wouldn't have even posted if not for your thread, but the truth of the matter is that those that are sick of Blizzard and quitting don't feel a need to come onto their forum and announce it first.
We just do it.
I will agree, though, that those that announce and threaten it first rarely, if ever, actually follow through.

And yet, even though these forums horrify you like a big train wreck, you continue to read them.
Hate and virtrol are far more entertaining to read than peace, love and friendship, hence its popularity.
I enjoy the combative nature of these forums and love to see a good discussion break out over some feature of a particular game. (DF is vaporware! No its not! Screw off troll. No, you, ya fanboi noob)
If I didn't enjoy it, I'd probably stop visiting this site. (rather than creating posts about how hate-filled these forums are)

On the WOW part of the post, people that spout off like that are all gas, they'll be playing once the servers come up.
The negative feeling you get off these boards is accurate. I tried posting some fun discussion topics not too long ago, as if I were in a room with some friends chatting about w/e game and the majority of the responses were not productive. I'll take differing opinions any day but when they come from mouth breathing knuckle draggers it creates incredible frustration because it's obvious they don't have a clue and are just looking to start some kind of board war.
I got disgusted, swore I'd never post again, and then (instead) went through a phase of trying to be like them with my posts/responses - I was promptly warned via email to stop it.
Sadly, they no longer make me laugh they make my colon ache.
This site is well known in the industry as one of the worst gaming communities. Hate is what you have to expect when you come here. Just like the little kid in the above post that quit and cancelled his pre-order because of extended downtime and felt to tell the world about it. For some reason every 10 year old with a keyboard and internet access hangs out here.
Unless you come here for the amusement of it all and strangely find it all entertaining I'd hang out some where else.
Because this is a gamers forum and gamers dont play WoW
