Cartoon Network is creating an MMO based off of a combination of all the main cartoon series on their channel.
Sort of like a Marvel Vs. Capcom mashup.
The name of the MMO is Fusion Fall,
details are scarce,
but the screenshots look really nice compared to the other Kiddy-bopper MMO's out there.
I think the Cell shading gives it a very distinct style.
Do you think it will be more successful than Toontown, and other games in that niche?

Beautiful, they can start the kids on the road to addiction earlier now
An interesting idea, but I wonder how many parents will be willing to spend $15 a month for their kids video game(that is if it is P2P)
Tried: LotR, CoH, AoC, WAR, Jumpgate Classic
Played: SWG, Guild Wars, WoW
Playing: Eve Online, Counter-strike
Loved: Star Wars Galaxies
Waiting for: Earthrise, Guild Wars 2, anything sandbox.
The character models look out of place with their surroundings in my opinion. I'd have exptected the mobs and other environmental objects to have cell shading also.

A work in progress: (Update: 08/09/10)Easily find your favorite type of MMO
Well this is certainly different...
Dunno what to make of it besides the fact that cartoon network is jumping into the mix...could be good for the genre and all as this looks like one of those main stream games.
Here's to a new generation of MMO goers.
This game is going to be free to play. From what I've read its in line with SOE's Free Realms. Its themed with a reimagining of the Cartoon Network Universe with a alien invasion. I just got an invited test the game over this weekend. Starting November 14th to the 16, so iI'll have a better understanding of the game after I test it this weekend. If the NDA is lifted for this weekend's event, I'd be glad to share my expierence with everyone.
For those of us that may not know of the Cartoon Network Universe. Its ranged from late 90's shows like Dexter's Lab to Ed, Edd, n' Eddy, to Kids Next Door, to the more modern Ben 10. All will be represented in this game and so far I'd say it looks like a good way for kids to get into online gaming. I think in the future we'll see more f2p MMOs for kids like Fusion Fall and Free Realms.
When we get back from where we are going, we will return to where we were. I know people there!
Well, I hope kids will like this and if I tried and like this one too...welcome to me.
