Blizzard is killing World of Warcraft so time to look for the next big game.
When WoW released there was a progression to the content. You leveled to around 55+ hit the plaguelands and major instances starting with BRD. You progressed through the instances killing boss's through BRD,Strat, Scholo, BWL, Onyxia, Molten Core, Nax progressing to get tier gear. It all made sense step 1 before step 2, 3, etc etc.
Then BC release, there is no longer a need to do any of the above mentioned instances or content for that matter, because what took months before now takes 1 kill and better loot drops on the ground now, hurray for the new players getting better gear than the veteran players now who grinded for months organizing raids!
Now comes WoTLK the 2cd expansion release for WoW, and we can now start out a new class at lvl 55, now need to grind that toon up, and if you do decide to reroll out of Blizzards own mouth they advertise 2 and 3 times faster leveling than before (less exp needed ) to get to level 60. Also leveling is still too easy the cap is set at 80 now up 10 levels from 70 and after 4 hours on the first day of new expansion some players had made 4-5 levels already. Which means upon hitting level 80 after a week of play you get to sit and grind in the BG's for new gear until a 3rd expansion comes out just like before.
WoW summed up is = obtain max level / reputation grind-gold grind / battleground gear-tokens until we decide to release another expansion for the 3rd time now 60-70-80 oh boy cant wait til level cap 100 when we can rep grind rinse repeat over over again ..........peace out to WoW players who are still interested i envy you I lost my flame for the game

That suxs I was hoping the Xpac was good.
See I dont ever want to play WoW again but I do want WoW to be a good game.
See all the console and FPS gamers need a game to goto, a MMO highschool if you will.
The better wow is the less I have to deal with the wow playerbase in my MMOs.
Blizzard please keep making your game appeal to these guys, god fobid my game is filled with this anti-social riff raff I'll leave the MMo genre in a heartbeat.
PLaying: EvE, Ryzom
Waiting For: Earthrise, Perpetuum
If you say so. But I think you are wrong.
The fact is, the majority of players in ANY MMORPG are always near max level. If you are a new player, it would suck to have to spend months and months of your time playing 'solo' because there are so few other people leveling up. Blizzard was smart, they get new players into populated zones as quick as possible. New players would quit pretty quick if they thought they could never catch up to their friends, or to the majority of players. And you are also wrong, Leveling from 70-80 will take as long for an experienced player as leveling 1-60 did. I really dedicated player can do both in about 5 days each. The average player won't have their main from 70-80 in a month. You are also wrong about Death Knights... yes, they start at 55, but they are the only class that does that, and it's not for new players, only players that already have a character above that level.
The endgame progression you talked about is still there at 80. There is still a clear progression of raids and dungeons. I'm sorry you are upset because that purple item you got from Onyxia was replaced, but that is the life of MMORPGs. There isn't a game on the market that allows you to use weapons and armor you got 3 years ago to do current endgame material.
I agree though that WOW is dying.. afterall, they just announced 12M subscribers and 75% of their servers are in queue right now.
Coming soon to Lord of the Rings online, legendary items that grow with your characters. Mines of Moria expansion due Nov. 18.
Welcome to MMORPGs

Actually, they are, they just decided to reroll after getting bored at 60, 70, and now 80 because even after 4years, WoW still has no end-game that's worthwhile and establishes a server as a community.
It's the one thing WoW has truly failed at time and time again.....
