I played AoC to end level. I have played WAR to almost end level.
But neither game has given me close to the buzz I felt as I started WOTLK.
Now, to be transparent, I am a feral druid and we got some great stuff... total surprises for me as I did not follow this game at all pre release.
But the truth is its alive, and entertaining, and feels like a great big land full of stuff to do. No instanced zones. No direct lines from a to b. No feeling of emptiness.
I hate the end grind as much as the next one, and generally level, look around a bit, then move on. I can't say how the new open world PVP will work, but I can feel the promise.
Bottom line: people may say what they like about WOW, but it's a class product.

All classes got some great stuff, not just druids - I'm play a Priest mostly and I'm very happy right now. There will always be debate about balance, but that's because the classes are so unique and interesting - so difficult to quantify balance wise.
Coming from WAR / AoC straight to WOTLK is indeed a great feeling, because it feels like 10 times the amount of resources and effort has gone into the entire thing.
Blizzard just keep getting better, and it's driving fans of other games nuts.
Still waiting for your Holy Grail MMORPG? Interesting...
Well, everyone generally happy in the beginning. But lets be honest, Blizzard has a good game and a solid expansion

It will be entertaining for a few months then the borefest will take place again .
Hey - if its a few months its already a success for me anyway. I expect to have fun for two, amybe three month in it... don't really ask much more of any game.
Any game that doesn't? Not sure where you're going with that.
