G15 keyboard macros

I have a question.

With the upcomming Warden it would be cool if I could use macros for the gambit combinations since it will be hard to learn all 30 gambit sets with 2-5 diffrent combinations. Since you can't make macros ingame for skill combinations like I was able in Wow I was wondering if I was able when buying a logitec G15. Is it6 possible with this keyboard to make 20-30 diffrent macros that when you click in follow a skill chain.

For example clicking the 1 will excecute the macro for 'Onslaught' (3 gambit Warden skill) by using: 'Quick trust', 'shield bash','quick trust' followed by 'gambit default' to activate the gambit skill. in this way you don't need to know the combination and only click on the 1 key instead of using 4 skills...And is this also able for a 5 gambit skills (6 skills total including the activation skill) or is there a max for those macros? And what is the number of macros I could make with the keyboard and does it actually work with the lord of the rings?

Can't say for sure since I was not in the beta. I use the G11 for my minstrels heals though worksd wonderfully fro selecting party members for various heals. Just for your info a G11 or G15 can be set up for 54 different macros, 3 sets of 18.

I tried to make it work when i first started playing lotro. It would only execute one skill of the 3-4 i had programmed. Might give it another shot after reading this thread.

The G15 Macro tool is God mode when you know how to use it.

I made a macro in AoC for a soldier to line up his combo skill and just before he hits the last combo he would change to bezerker stance and then launch the combo then go back to defensive stance, all by pressing one button :D.

In lotro i used the 2 pages of 1the g15 keys for my captain, my left hand was only ever on the g keys whilst the right hand was controlling the mouse/movement.

Tarzin i think the problem you have is you are not giving time delays between actions. You got to take into account cooldown, lag and how long it takes for the character and/or the GCD of skills to finish.

After reading this article I am not so sure that you will be able to or even want to use macros for th egambits. Read page 3

I guess it all depends on whether the gambit display bar is accessible by keystroke. At any rate it looks like a fun and  interesting class.

I have just bought a g11 and I'm currently working on the macros to effectivize my captain. Have managed to get a couple of nice ones, but I would be happy to get some tips from a experienced g15 user too.

the gambit panel  is separate from the skills  panels, not sure if it is keyboard accessible yet. On the not sure if you want to part a buddy who was in beta said you want to play the gambits strategically, not sure what he means by that. Guess we will find out soon.

Im assuming he means situations change, so the drawback of not being able to cancel a g15 bind, wont allow you to change the outcome midway to a more relevent and helpful gambit combo.

to answer the questi9on yes the G11/G15 can be used for Warden gambis, I have not made any yet butr I have my warden at lvl 8 now and see where the macros will prove useful. Off topic the Warden is a absolute blast to play.

Anyone knows this already if its possible to save all your gambit skills in macros for each combo (so up to 5 skills+the excecute skill=6 skills total) and could start the whole combo automatically by only pressing 1 button that you attached to the combo and  the skills needed for it?

As my experience with the Warden has increased, though, I would advise against using this as the way to get to your Gambits. You need the flexibility to change target and/or Gambit partway through. This is further complicated by the addition of the Master traits which unlock quick 2-spot combo pieces.
While I can see G15 macros would be useful for predictable combos (such as Beneath Notice, Heart Seeker, Bards Arrow for Hunters), I think that Warden application will never be optimal if done this way. Except perhaps Ambush, Move to Target, Critical Strike?

I agree. I recently resrated playing my warden and getting along just fine w/o macros. I still like my G11 for my minnie in groups though. Makes targeting heals a heck of a lot easier and I have my "ohmygawd WTF" macros ( spams group and self insta heal and tehn play dead real quick) in their also.
