I think all of us: WoW, LotrO and EQ2 players can be happy to play great games that all get lots of new content soon! This is a great month for gamers :)

Northrend doesnt excite me much anymore so Im going to Moria instead! Have fun wherever you go...

    If WoW = The Beatles
    and WAR = Led Zeppelin
    Then LotrO = Pink Floyd

Wow is more or less killing how games are thought of vs pvp and pve no longer is about skill at a computer its about gear and what you did to get it when it shouldnt matter what gear your wearing it should always be about your timing, dodgin and skills that you master on your character ugh for the days of ac or uo"

WoW is just one game.  It cannot be held responsible for the failings of every single aspect of every MMO.  It does exactly what it set out to do and it does it better than most other companies can ever dream of.

At some point blame must be put squarely where it is deserved, in other developers hands.  They are the ones who have not made compelling alternatives to WoW.  If the market was not saturated by so many ailing flat lifeless games things would be different.

Why do many new games sell over a million copies in a few short weeks and then lose the majority of those players in just as short a time?  There is your answer right there.

Oh wait... now I am too...

Oh well, none of us have lives.

You know, I find it very odd that if people take their vacation time from work off for a WoW event, or simply just to play online or video games, they "have no life."  And  yet someone that takes vacation time off to say, oh....read a newly released book by their favorite author, play golf, or go to the casinos on a trip to Vegas or something, or hell....ANY OTHER HOBBY...well, that's just fine.

WTF?  I have vacation time at my job.  Most people that work somewhere other than, oh I don't know...McDonald's (?) DO.  Maybe even McDonald's does, for all I know.  Why do you assume people are taking UNPAID time off?  I would wager that most people that scheduled time off, aren't putting their finances at risk.  LMAO

Judgmental people being judgmental....how utterly shocking.  /rolls eyes

The people telling other people to "get a life" are the ones that need to "get a life" it sounds like to me.  One of the most pathetic pastimes I can think of,  is to presume you have some right, superior knowledge or obligation to tell OTHER PEOPLE how to live.  That seems to be an international problem of EPIC proportions.  I think it must make people with very low self-esteem feel better about themselves if they can self-righteously dictate how others should "live."

Seriously, it makes those of you doing it sound like complete hypocritical morons.

word of advice: never take off the day of release to play. thats usually when there is a server crash or some kind of issue. the starting area for deathknight is gonna be insane as well as the bg's. look at yesterdays issue. they are getting ready for wotlk and the servers were down all day and night.

because they are looking for something else besides wow. most of the 11 mill are bored with wow but find there is nothing else.

Yeah, I have kind of a big "mouth," I know, but good gawd.  Those judgmental nut jobs just inspire me to unload.  Sorry for the wall of baby blue text-crit....did it hit for over 8k?  Or should I add some plus crit gems to my keyboard?

Servers were down for most of the day yesterday, and now the servers are down again! If the server's aren't up soon, I think I'm just going to avoid playing WoW until next week, when hopefully the servers will be a bit more stable after the initial WOTLK zerg.

While I think a greater percentage of players in WoW are enjoying the game than you do, I think we both agree there is a huge amount of people [current and former WoW subscribers] that are very much looking for another game.

The problem is developers keep making the same stupid mistakes year in and year out with unfinished releases and expecting different results.  I really thought Vanguard would be the big wakeup call that those days are over, but it would seem not.

I just don't think WoW is to blame for the lack of anything in the market when no one even seems to be trying anymore.  Repeating the mistakes of the past and expecting different results is just insanity.

I respect this honest response so much man, the reason this is so honest and probebly right is because many of us here will think the exact same as you did but wont use there own flesh to really help guide the point you have just made.

I am the same, I love MMo's and in all honestly I wish I never started playing them, I get a decent balance in my life unlike when I started but hey, life is full of hobbies and shit and this is now one of them, I have come to terms with that and I aint gonna hide it from nobody.

If we were to put 20% of honesty into our responses we would but alot better off, not just in the gaming community but as a people...

    Nathan.
