    To me he's just bragging about the game and how awesome it is. I know it's not <<

     

    ah well, loads of people loves it so i can't argue with that.

     

    But to call it the best mmo in the world and that nothing can beat it is a little too much.

    It's great that it's got great reviews... (though I think Eurogamer a sh*** source in general)

    However, why do you always have this burning need to put everyone else down? Its not like you're enjoying this review for the good it does to WoW and its players - it is the percieved "pain" you give to other games that turns you on.

    At best this is inane and childish, at worst plain sad and sick - if you're over 18 (or even 14) that is.

    Eurogamer also gave Burning Crusade, a 10/10

     

    I do think WOTLK is better than BC

    but BC was not a 10/10 to me

    EQ2 fan sites

    YOU and a lot of MMORPG.COM Wow hate posters - were the ones stating you hated Wow with an incredible passion in your posts and made fun out of Wow players.

    I think people who hate games should see a doctor.

    i too would give WotLK 10/10.

    the game has everything i want as a MMO gamer.

    - great quests (has your classic style quests, but it also has some great epic quests and story)

    - good community (go find a good guild and stfu about general chat, its not THE only community.)

    - competitive PVP (not balanced class vs class, then again its not supposed to be)

    - great economy (huge amount of players, a very comprehensive AH with good market values.)

    - new and improved crafting ( the new sets of items to make arent as expensive as classic WoW and BC)

    - great solo play ( going around questing and farming is hassle free and relaxing)

    mate, if you feel the need to post this kind of stuff in the mmorpg.com forums just to convince yourself that WoW is somehow still worth playing, you need to seriously reconsider your life in general.



     

    No I am posting this to counter the zillions of "I hate Wow posts" on one of the most silly forums in gaming history.

    This game is good and the professional reviewers confirm it. It is always good to have (again) some reference point on MMORPG_WoWhate.com. All back with your feet on the ground.

    That's why I post. To counter balance the incredible moaning here  about a game you can talk about in real life with your friends and have fun with, for months or years even.

    Always good to know this.

    If you don't improve everything, what would be the point of expansion?

    This is basically depending on player's view.  The writer of this review is the master of exaggeration when mentioning the whole genre.  I do notice him using multiples here, very good idea, because the initial values have huge range.  Multiples make every part likely to be true, even if the initial value to certain players is zero, the multiples will remain true.

    BTW, he sure knows alot about the expansion, or he plays really really fast.  He seems to know everything about an expansion that was released only a very short while ago.  After all, he knows enough about the whole expansion pack to call it the "grandest adventure in all gaming".  At least he used the word "perhaps", so he won't bury himself should something goes wrong.  Remember kids, being vague is very important when writing a review.  As long as you put a few "maybe" in there, you cannot possibly be wrong no matter how much you praise something.

    I am not sure who the hell is minutemaid and Co.  However, gloating over an article shows me alot about you as a player.  Please by all means stay in WoW forever, I do not even want to think about the chance of meeting you in any other MMORPG, in exchange, I'll stay as far away from WoW as possible.  It'll be a challenge, but I should be ok.
    My view on WoW, it is an ok game.  It is pretty good in flexibility, system a bit simple, but overall a nice game.  However, I know better ones out there.  (Hey my opinion, if you don't agree, suck it up, however I won't pull out a "review" to prove you wrong)
    WoW is nice, but the fanboi, are entirely another story.  Watch out as they pull out another set of numbers and another "review" and trying to convincing people.  However, are they trying to convince people that WoW is a good game, or just feeding their own ego?  Your call.
    P.S.  I don't quite see how anyone can convince other's opinion wrong by using another perons's opinion as a guideline.  The whole concept makes me think there is something wrong with our education system.

    Well just keep in mind all those "Professional reviewers" were also giving AoC top scores of 8/10 n 9/10. Seems pretty much any game that has the money behind it is always gonna get a 'great review'. And seems most of these MMO reviewers are already in the WoW pocket, as most of em are fans already.

    Some of the quests are fun and hillarious, however "QuestHelper" makes this game kinda of silly and less challenging. They should of just made everyone /Level 80 at the get go.

    I know your not seriously but everyone has different taste, it may be spam fest in chat, but I give the WoW community in game a 6 of out 10. The official forums a 7 out of 10.

    Is all about who has the BEST gear once again, WoW is a gear dependant game and less skill. But is does have its moments.

    AH I do like, but it all depends on what server your on, some items are so inflated it is ridiculous, but the gold farmers contribute to this and how the econony is on that server.

    Nothing can compare to Pre-CU Star Wars Galaxies crafting, everything else is just, mehh and dumbed down so anyone can figure out.
    - great solo play ( going around questing and farming is hassle free and relaxing)
    Last time I checked mmorpg's were all about group participation. I blame WoW for making the new mmorpgs players so self sufficient. But this is the new era of mmo gaming and I can respect that. If I want old school mmo's, I know where Everquest series and Vanguard are.



     

    I am not knocking you for liking WoW, but it truly is a game where everyone from the age of 5 to 100 can figure out by just loading up the game. People want a simple mmo with lots of fun, I give you WoW.

    Everyone plays WoW differently, however I like mmo's with more of a consequence and that is more skill based rather than gear based.

    Well you'll be first in line then because, if I remember correctly, you were the one actually calling Mark Jacobs (lead WAR dev) a pathetic, lying moron for being concerned about death threats on his person. If that isn't mental I don't know what is.

    At least I have the decency not to troll other games threads like you do. I think about WoW what I think about it and I will support my opinions with arguments. You don't have arguments - all you have is hate towards anything outside of your tribe, if that. I never stay angry at people for long and I believe we are all red under our skins but what you argued for in that thread about Mark Jacobs death threats has put you beyond the pale in my eyes. You are a hate-infested little creature with no real joy in your existence. I feel pity for you because you can't get joy out of anything except other peoples' discomfort and pain. I detest you publicly and I think you need serious psychiatric help.

    bro lich brought a breath of fresh air into WoW. Its really fun and the graphics update is amazing. Also i really wish people would stop saying its the best mmo its only the most popular and since its all about opinion there never will be the best mmo.

    As for the "good review" - the title of your thread is "Eat your hearts out." You are not posting this to make WoW players feel good - you are doing it to make everyone else feel bad. Just admit it. You get off by causing pain. If you just said "WOtLK 's got great reviews - great news for us WoW players!" that wouldn't be enough for you. You need to make it somehow painful to someone, anyone to enjoy it. That's psychological disturbance - a sado-masochistic complex.     If this thread was posted in the other forum sections, say WAR or AoC or SWG or EQ I'd tend to agree... since it's in the World of Warcraft section, where one would think people that LIKE the game would hang out and chat, I have to disagree.  While the thread title might be a little arrogant keep in mind that it is indeed the place for people that like WoW to discuss.  Do you sign up for forums of bands you hate just to bash them and say "XX is way better?"  Do you go hang out at the import tuner car shows when you've got no respect for less than 8 cylinders (or vise versa, as it may be)?  Do you, as a strict (insert your choice) political party supporter attend the opposing party's rallies to lob stones and rotten vegetables?  Ridiculous, isn't it?  But that's what you're doing here.

    Yet here you are, all offended that someone posted a positive review...
    As for the "good review" - the title of your thread is "Eat your hearts out." You are not posting this to make WoW players feel good - you are doing it to make everyone else feel bad. Just admit it. You get off by causing pain. If you just said "WOtLK 's got great reviews - great news for us WoW players!" that wouldn't be enough for you. You need to make it somehow painful to someone, anyone to enjoy it. That's psychological disturbance - a sado-masochistic complex. I am dead serious when I say you need psychiatric help - and don't take it as an insult.
    If this thread was posted in the other forum sections, say WAR or AoC or SWG or EQ I'd tend to agree... since it's in the World of Warcraft section, where one would think people that LIKE the game would hang out and chat, I have to disagree.  While the thread title might be a little arrogant keep in mind that it is indeed the place for people that like WoW to discuss.  Do you sign up for forums of bands you hate just to bash them and say "XX is way better?"  Do you go hang out at the import tuner car shows when you've got no respect for less than 8 cylinders (or vise versa, as it may be)?  Do you, as a strict (insert your choice) political party supporter attend the opposing party's rallies to lob stones and rotten vegetables?  Ridiculous, isn't it?  But that's what you're doing here.

     

     

    I'll just give one reply to all those points: It is a personal thing. As you will notice, I'm not talking about WoW and WOtLK at all... I didn't say anything negative about WotLK (haven't tried it so I don't think I have a right to comment except in out-of-content subjects) - I objected to bodypass's mode of posting as well as his obvious motivation which I find obnoxious. I'm adressing bodypass directly here. Yup. I'm not using the game as a pretext to attack someone. I'm doing it directly and consciously. I won't hide behind made-up BS about a game in order to hit somebody or some group I happen to dislike. Why the flying f*** should he find any solace here in WoW boards while he's been insulting and crapping everyone in WAR's for the past 2 months and now he's doing the same here? I have no respect or mercy for the guy whatsoever.

    You won't see me here flaming you guys. If I have to say something negative about WoW I'll do it in the Pub. But I will go and raise hell here in WoW forums because it is not fair to just let him go. "Ye shall not suffer a witch to live." as they say in our parts. His bs, hate and poison is legendary over there.
