Even thought you need to get your renown rank up that is expected because they have not added any big game PVE stuff besides some of the dungeons they have now. With it being a new game you just have to wait for more content to be added. Me being married as well helps with being able to do some PVE and RVR and not being stuck in a lengthy raid that is not a garentee that you will get the gear you came for.
