Just wondering if anyone here who ever bought gold off anywebsite ever actually got banned for it. I read a lot about massive one or two time bannings going on but from my experience and seeing as how mmorpgs work, most of the bannings happen within 1/2 months, then you can get away with it the rest of the year. This was the case in games like FFXI, EQ2 and WoW. Most of my guilds had players who would buy tons of gold online, (Even in some Free 2 play mmorpgs like Granado Espada my clan leader would spend about 100 dollars a month on cash shop and online gold). And It seems like as long as you avoided those "Baningwaves" and as long as you were not a Bot or an RMT, you were usually not caught. Just wondering if anyone here has been banned for actually buying gold online, I personally only done it once for Granado Espada, which Was a mistake because the crappy game was not worth the 10 bucks I spent. I didn't get banned but wouldn't have cared if i had been. So Any other experienced buyers out there share some stories?
Iv read a lot worse threads than this on offtopic forums with even more vulgar and offensive messages, so I see no reason for people to get overly edgy over this thread but we will see.

You could have thrown in the whole "I don't buy gold" option just to give other people something to vote on.
It's where I'd fall in.
No required quests! And if I decide I want to be an assassin-cartographer-dancer-pastry chef who lives only to stalk and kill interior decorators, then that's who I want to be, even if it takes me four years to max all the skills and everyone else thinks I'm freaking nuts. -Madimorga-
Well, the point of this is i want to see if people who have ever done it actually are willing to admit it. It seems like most people who do it keep it hush hush as if it was the next apocalypse. Idk I think everyone I know has done it at least once, and I also think a good 1/4rth of mmorpg players have done it at least once. Most have bad experiences and stop after the first time, but I also have met people who buy services almost weekly. And I honestly can't figure out how the inflation caused by these people does not ruin the entire economy. Just one person I know in Granado Espada puts in over 300million vis into its economy on a weekly basis.... so Idk how he soly does not screw the game up...thats like 150 bucks a week..
If I put the I dont buy gold option a lot of people who have done it will just click that. I rather have a lack of players actually post/vote than get a million votes all lies saying "Never did it" This thread was made for those who have at least some experience in this, and those who have been banned by this to speak out and explain their situation.
Fair enough

Sorry Just posted this little post here (THIS ONE) to get my post up to 300 from 299 before class, lol... BAck on topic now.
Another reason not to play MMorpgs. Seriously though what are hoped to find out with this discussion. Your chances of getting caught? Your right that right now the chance is practically nothing. Within the next ten years I think that the gold selling and buying will become truly illegal and aggressively enforced because of taxing and security issues. Personally I find Gold buying repugnant and only know one friend who has ever done it.
-for the overmind.
i only bought in game currency in one game, and i was banned once.

If ye love wealth greater than liberty, the tranquility of servitude; greater than the animating contest for freedom, go home from us in peace. We seek not your counsel, nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you; May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.
