Will you play both? -{Poll}-

hopalonghopalong Member Posts: 10

Knowing that EQLive and EQ2 are technically different games, I also know that All Access is a very good consideration to be able to play both. I have not decided whether or not I'm going to play EQLive and/or EQ2. For those that enjoy playing EQLive, and those that are anticipating EQ2, how many of y'all are considering All Access to be able to play both?

Not that the poll with help me decided, but I was wondering how the general community felt.

Why is it that if I tell you that there are over a billion stars in the sky, you'll believe me without a second glance? But when I tell you "Wet Paint", you feel compelled to touch it to see if I'm telling the truth or not.

I didn't think that All Access applied to the SOE mmorpg's, thought it was just the station games.

They apply to their MMORPG. It includes their Station games, EQ1, EQOA(PS2), and Planetside. SWG isn't apart of it. Since I don't play EQ1 anymore I doubt I'll get it. Then again if they continue to support the PS2 version of Everquest I might pick up the Frontiers version and give it a spin with the All Access Pass but until then I'll just be playing EQ2.

I will play both for a while with the All Access feature.. but time is of the essence, and so rare most times. I know I will have to choose between, and I would choose EQ2.

that would be ridiculous to play both really, it would be way too hard to concentrate time and effort into your characters, for those of us that have real life commitments.

All access pass doesn't cover EQ2 anymore if I'm not mistaken. Isn't that like $21? I don't think SOE would make you pay $6 extra for EQ, PS, and some other games.. which are all at least $10 anyway.

I don't play EQ currently, but if the the cross-quests that the devs have been occasionally bringing up are interesting, I might start playing EQ just so I can do those quests. Then again, I'm too sure on the details of the cross-quests. Besides, I have a lot of friends playing EQ that are going to EQ2, and they're staying with EQ for awhile for two reasons: (1) because of the cross-quests and (2) because, apparently, a lot of times those that switch from EQ to fill-in-the-blank new MMORPG come back to EQ when they get bored. And from the sounds of a few of the threads, many people are still looking for that "special feeling" they had when playing EQ, so they may go back as well. Regardless, at least I'll get a chance to see the cross-quest system in action. I mean, the idea in and of itself is pretty cool, and for MMORPGs, is definitely unique.

Going all access because of planetside and EQ2.No intention of returning to EQlive don't have the time for that.

Perhaps not a key selling point, but one of the selling points of EQ2 is that it will provide a different type of gameplay over EQL.  In a sense, EQL is geared towards "end-game" uber guild players, and EQ2 is geared towards small group casual players.  I stopped playing EQL because I felt it had little to offer once I hit the top levels, and I had no desire to get into a bigger guild to take on the additional content.  I'm betting that EQ2 will provide the gameplay that adheres to my working life.
