Are North American Servers even planned for Darkfall?

Are there plans for North American servers on release? I'm just asking because everything seems to be in Greek or now Italian.

I'm sure if the game was a hit they'd establish NA servers eventually, but perhaps that's not the plan on release?

It's not uncommon. Some Korean games for example, start with Korean only servers, then later establish NA servers.

    From what I've read they are going to intoduce only 1 server. Their servers have the capability of hosting the capacity of probably 10 WoW servers simultaniosly. So there's a good chance that 10,000-50,000 people can play at one time. Possibly even more, look at Eve for example.

    I still believe Americans won't be getting into the beta, or even getting the game first.

    Get testing done in Europe for a month or two... release there first to locate any problems

    Then release it to the US and probably the rest of the world.

    Wouldn't that mean you'd have the best game play if you were located on the continent the server was located on, otherwise you'd get more lag?

     

    Edit: Well, according to this article on EVE their servers are all located in London, and it doesn't seem to be a problem:

    They have signed an agreement with a US hosting company - GNI.

    Does that mean then that the game would be hosted in teh US, just like EVE is hosted in London, and that everyone playing would be logging in to a US server cluster?

    No. Initially, we are told(and this is by Tasos - so take it as you may) that they have a European publisher and the server cluster  will be in Europe.  He has been a lot more vague(which is his forte) about what will happen in the US.

    ye ai dont think us will have there own server right away but americans play fine on the server in germany
