Well, you can't really sell it so why not?
Only thing you have to lose is some time.
Gamestop gave you something for free?
This MUST be a joke.

Cant Hurt to give it a shot. Free is Free and there are a few cool trinkets in the box
If ye love wealth greater than liberty, the tranquility of servitude; greater than the animating contest for freedom, go home from us in peace. We seek not your counsel, nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you; May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.
Samuel Adams
Give it a try, you could do a hell of a lot worse than TR
Like two weeks ago Gamestop pennied out all copies of TR and they were to be destroyed. So I do not think his post is a joke. Gamestop stop carrying the game and pulled the leftovers from the shelves.
Sure for free it is a good deal, it ceases to be a good deal once that $15 a month kicks in.
In light of the news that TR is being closed down, I wonder if Gamestop knew this was going to happen and dumped their stock in the game out of fear that they might sell the game to people who in turn would end up wanting a refund?

Maybe, but if that is so...why the heck are they and other retailers still trying to flog of copies of auto assualt?
What? You're serious? People are still trying to pawn off copies of Auto Assault? WTF. Here I was thinking that Gamestop might have had advance warning or known something that we didn't. I guess I gave them too much credit. Gamestop has always been a very shady business. I've gotten screwed more than once on their "free beta entrance with a pre-order" deals they seem to have for every MMO these days.

Ok...I'm done now.....
Um... I know everyone likes to bash retailers needlessly, especially Gamestop, but they've all long since gotten rid of their Auto Assault stock. All the links you guys posted - all the retailers are out of stock! The one Kallandra posted is only sold by third-parties similar to Amazon marketplace, and the Gamestop link jinxit posted is for the 60-day time card which can be used for any NCsoft game, so it's no surprise that it's full price.
Seriously guys, I know this is the Internet, but if you're all too lazy to even check the links for verification, I weep for humanity. This board is for talking about Tabula Rasa, and you guys still have to drag Auto Assault's name through the mud; it shut down a year ago. When are you gonna let it go? It's not like any of you even played it. Back on topic, if you happen to find this or any other game at a retailer after the servers have already shut down, it will probably ring up a penny since it was supposed to be destroyed. So no, the collector's edition won't be worth anything.
Uh... I played Auto Assault. Pre-ordered and everything. Had a bit of fun in beta running over people walking around on foot with my car covered in machine guns. But right before launch they suddenly made the leveling process in the game MUCH more of a grind. And it went from being a game where you mostly just drove around blowing stuff up for fun and doing quests to gain experience, to being a nasty Everquestish grindfest. When my pre-order arrived, I never even opened it... Kinda sad thinking back on it now, there were quite a few features of the game I did like, such as the way different tire types would give you different traction of different terrain types.
But yeah, its a LITTLE off topic I guess. The subject just came up because Tabula Rasa is being shut down by NCSoft and the same thing happened to Auto Assault.

I know for a fact that GAME and Gamestation are selling Auto assualt currently, out of stock according to there site but if you go into either of those UK stores you can purchase it under one of there 2 for 5 pounds deals .
I was also an Auto assault player and imagine my suprise when I logged into the TR beta and realised it was a stripped down and modified version of AA.
I couldn't see any future in it, even though I liked it.
History repeats itself.
I figured out a way to make the CE worth something. Tape a $20 bill to the outside and then sell it and the CE for $20.
Fry's Electronics ( Sunnyvale ) still had TR CE boxes on the shelf Tuesday when I bought the Fallout3 CE. They were in danger of getting smashed by the huge piles of WotLK CE boxes.
I wonder if they've been marked down? They were on a bottom shelf and I didn't see the stickers....
Edit: Yes they have been marked down! Just got back from a Fry's run. $4.99 and they still have 8 left. The goodies in the box are worth more than $4.99.
