Well guys now www.walmart.com has a new item it says World of warcraft for PC and NEW next to it i know there was already one and then the collectors additon well on the new one it says realse the 22 of november and on the collectors it still says the 16th so...... wuts up with that?.

Well it is walmart.. and walmart knows nothing more than Ebgames, etc. If anything I would trust EBgames before Walmart(after all it seems like alot of people ARE trusting EBgames, etc. with the nov. 15th release date.

Either
A. The release date will be pushed back due to the late release of open beta
or
B. The game will still be out by November 15, BUT the open beta will only last 1-2 weeks.

A friend of mine works at a store here in Cincinnati called "Media Play". About a week or so ago he received an update on the release of the game. His list also shows Nov 22. I'm not saying that date is right or wrong. But wouldn't you all tend to agree with the later date? Seems to me it's already been pushed back once. I'd say it probably gets pushed back again. It might be december before we actually see it on shelves. I was also told that the release date of Halo 2 was pushed back about 5 times. It wouldn't surprise me to see the same thing with this. As long as EQ II isn't on shelves they can take their sweet time with it.

I doubt if open beta is over 1 week since leveling is so quick and they don't want their whole player base to plow through 3/4 of the content before release...same deal as stress test IMHO.

The items you are seeing with a release date of Nov 22nd and a cost of 30 bucks is the pay to play cards that they haven't officially announced yet. Its rumored that you will not be able to get these cards for at least one to two weeks after release, and thats what you are seeing for the Nov. 22nd dates. IF you look at the actual game title its still listed as Nov 16th for walmart.. heres links

Amazon.com also had this same 29.99 but had it listed as a 60-day prepaid game card, however thats been removed also like the one that was on walmarts site, so either there not going to have game cards or the plans by blizz and VU are not finalized on them and asked the retailers to pull the info from them for now.

If anyone could afford the fine for releasing a game early walmart would defineately be it. They are one of the richest and largest superstores in america. Sucks that they treat their employees like shit and pay them minumun wage with little to no benefits. I refuse to shop there myself
