My OB and Retail theory

Well, heres what I think is going to happen.  World of warcraft will start Open beta around Nov 1st, because they cant give players that much time to play it.. they gotta get em hookedimage for retail. Retail has to be out by the set release date or a few days after to make it in time for the biggest shopping day in the year.  (The day after thanksgiving is the biggest shopping day of the year just incase you didnt know) The reason I say this is, they have to give customers a well sized month before christmas so they can get "gift" sales tho a lot of people will buy it anyway. I think they got the game almost ready and dont have to release everything by retail to keep some things a "surpirise"

If you dont think im right, please post your opinion/theroy I would love to hear it.

    I hate it when people blame they're stoned or suffer from ADD or something like that when they make an ass of themselves. OB will be out when it comes out. We may as well argue who's going to win the superbowl in 2010. We'll find out when it happens for crying out loud.

    Hehe, as far as all these "guess OB date" threads go, your guess is as good as mine. Personally I think it would be wise for Blizz to start OB before the 29th of Oct to trump out the Guildwars preview. There are a few potential paying customers who might be turned on by that game and it's lack of a monthly subscription rate. Then again that could very well be wishful thinking on my part. :)

    This was kinda a dumb post... my 2 cents...

    Btw, I'm Canadian, when do you losers have Thanksgiving? Nov. 12 or something?  I think they'd have to have Open Beta sooner then Nov. 1 if they want to get it out by the middle of November... cause even when a game goes Gold it usually takes at least a couple weeks to manufacture, package and ship the product to retailers...

    Oh well, hopefully the Open Beta will be any day now! I mean they posted that announcement  on the WOW website on like the 7th, I mean it's almost been two weeks already and there's still no word, not even anything on sign-ups!  Hurry up Blizzard! Yes I know your crew of pathetic Closed Beta Testers has done a really pathetic job to date but the game must be almost ready!

    The fact remains that most retailers are advertising Nov. 15 or so and they didn't just pull that out of their @ss, so IF Blizzard wants to have any hopes of making that date they'll have to have OB sign-ups this week and start it by the end of next week. That is unless they decide to go gold before OB which would technically defeat the whole purpose of OB. Well that or I really have no idea what I'm talking about ::::06::
