WOW stinks anymore... it's so outdated even tho they add expanions the world, the quests & mostly the graphic! are old.... I see WoW lasting another year then pop will start dying off by the dozens. Just can't hold up too the next gen. MMOs thats about to launch.
People have been saying a year ........ every year. Dozens? So what will that leave them with ......... 10.5 million? Its gonna take a lot more than a few games and a year to start the decline of Wow at any significant state.
Ok Pheace thanks for your time than. You were great help. And no i am not going to play WOW just to see the attraction. I just wanted to see from WOW fans prespective what makes them go nuts about this game. By your theory i ahve to play each and every MMO out there to get first hand experince but sometimes getting people opinion is lot better.
And you just wasted space for two posts you could have done soemthing better with your time. Thank you.
If you think getting someone else's opinion is ever better than having the experience for yourself, you are far from the sharpest knife in the drawer.

Clearly this Camthylion kid is not genetically linked to the line of Nostradamus.
....and I still get a mild kick out of nubs who think one game has to fail for another to succeed.
People have an amazing time playing WoW, yet these eejits want it to end. Not the kind of people I'd want to be playing with anyway, I just hope they aren't subbed to WoW while waiting for the plane that flys them to the land of greener grass.
Wait did someone actually bring up Mour ... er Darkfall in?
LOLZ i know right! That innovative game that actually has a challenge and doesnt hold your hand through easymode is actually going to release and is getting great beta reviews!

People we're saying that 3 years ago. Yet an outdated, graphically old MMO, just sold 2.8 million copies in one day.
Maybe you'll be right next year and dozens of subscribers will leave.

Scary huh.
Great beta reviews ... no, haven't seen that before a game flops.
Ico Oh, cruel fate, to be thusly boned. Ask not for whom the bone bones. It bones for thee.

It's mostly more of the same in terms of game play, but I think it looks really great on my computer. It's a cartoonish art style, colorful and polished. They did some new things with the quests in WoTLK, but still plenty of the same.
I'm really happy with the quests overall, but why can't they give more EXP when you group with people instead of less? I guess they figure it would make questing and leveling too easy or something, but I really do wish they would have more options for grouping to level. Dungeons don't give comparable EXP to just doing quests from what I've seen unless you have quests for the dungeons (and there are only a small handful of those) so hopefully they make doing instances give the same amount of EXP as quests.

One of the reasons WoW is so popular is that it just feels right. The animations are spot-on. Have you played Lotro? The game is beautiful but the animations are just ... wrong. Blizzard have the best animators, imho.
200 million dollars invested over a 3 year period, that's the reason.
It's like having your personal 5000 dollar boat having a cruise race with a 5 million dollar yacht.
Your boat can have a Casio synthesiser on board, while the yacht has a Philharmonic orchestre. Your children can paint some great Disney characters to hang on the wall, but the yacht will just hire a few Disney employees. You can have your wife set out the course, but the yacht will just bring in a few captains.
How much money were invested in the Wow killers? 5 million, 10 million? Well, that's 195 million short.
It shows how naïve most posters are on mmorpg.com. Aion, Darkfall. As if they will change anything.
