Hey all ^_^

 

Heres my Dream for a good mmorpg, first off what i have to say , is sooo many company's claim all this variety, adding stuff like strategy style play into mmorpgs and turn based play, but its still not cutting it imo, its still GRIND GRIND QUEST QUEST , no story., just abit of text. party's with random people, killing the same mobs for 30 levels using the one skill, it just doesnt change.

 

Heres my dream -  a true epic story, like Elfien lied or Blood+ :D epic anime's imo. i want to see a game were theres a story that is so epic to even look at , you look at it and go "my god", it will make you cry, smile, get angry, get deeply emotional, get lost in translation and beauty of the characters, BUT the difference is from all the single player games that achieve this, is its ever changing, ongoing. and you can explore this story with friends or a single partner, and experience and EPIC journey together, something that will have you both epicely exploring an amazing world, and not using the same skills over and over and over. boring boring skills, using fighting moves that make you go wow, sending someone flying through a building, or fighting 3 people at once with amazing moves, or been so powerfull you can fly into a crowd and blow them all up with your eyes, such an epic amount of moves

Not all the same mobs, hey how about no mobs at all ? how about vsing real people in there adventures. people running there own arena's. recruiting slaves, whatever. the people control the world ( some say second life is the game for you but thats bs, second life isnt unlimited, its very limited by graphics and constant downloading causing the game to be a struggle for alot of people and not everyone has 4GB DDR2 computers )

i gotta say Fable 2 is very close, but still the online feature kinda sucks, if they had of improved that it coulda been alot better

 

Is there any game out there, anywhere. that'll truely take my heart? - Whatever happened to games like Never winter nights which hit the true meaning of  "MMORPG"

Weres the "RPG" in "MMORPG" gone, cause i dont see much role playing anymore,

    Most games do provide you some of a backstory so you could take role playing into your own hands. Unfortunately the only MMO that has gone the extra mile is NWN which you have played. Personally I think the only other game that has done something close was Age of Conan, but only for the first 20 levels. I haven't kept up with AoC so they may have added more to the game along those lines.

     I  your imagination but no MMO has a "send character flying through buildin" effect but from  the rest of it i think you shoulld maybe try out 9Dragons

    unfortantly i did try 9Dragons. it has story's yea, but again only in text and nothing to do with the game, it always goes off the plot way to easily.

     

    and its again, just grind grind, kill kill for so many levels

     

    hopefully guild wars 2 will break the cycle, guild wars was very nicely put together, keeping story and pvp and grinding all seperate
