Warhammer's Top Problem

It was comletely boring. I mean the game play was nothing new. The same old WoW quests, the same old WoW gameplay. And the same old Guild Wars gameplay.

Come on! What's really so good about this game, as I see in the population, people have already thrown in the towel on this game.

And me...? I'd love to come back to this game, but quite frankly I can't see why.

What's the best way to level, boring quests and repetitive scenarios?

...So with that being said, there's no way I could go back to Warhammer Online, it's just too boring.

I mean here's my story, I had so much fun with Age of Conan till the end. Warhammer, I had to quit at level 25 because the scenarios and quests were way to repetitive.

Get my drift?

This kind of thread has been repeated several hundred times but hey you have an opinion and you want to express it.  In short I agree with you but specifically the moment WAR died for me was when I realised that it was a very long funnel and RvR meant sweet FA.  Every game needs a purpose and if you win you only feel joy when you know you have gone through a lot of grief to get the result.  In WAR the biggest problem is, lose or win it doesnt really matter and once you go past that chapters level bracket you cant participate at all so you are forced to move on to the next.

Now that is where it really sucked for me, in the beginning I was fighting away and kinda enjoying the RvR but then I dinged level 13 and 10 seconds later I get turned into a chicken.   The last 4 hours I was in a group fighting for territory and then I was forced to leave and move into the next chapter where I literally didnt find anyone. So off to scenarios I went.  2 weeks later I quit.  I thought WAR would be like EVE and from all the press releases and pod casts with grown men screaming about how there is going to be war everywhere and you basically live in a war zone and everybody is fighting for their lives and trying to hang on to territory etc etc.  What a big pile of crap!  I could let me 2 year old  nephew play this game and he would pwn it.   So thats my rant for the 100th time.

The sad part was that I was actually planning on going back to this game, but quite frankly, yeah, like I said, "Repetitive"

Is this yet another one of those threads where an AoC fan tries to pull people out of WAR and into his game? They must be really desperate for subscribers.

My experience was opposite to the OPs. AoC was boring level 20 and onward, and I quit at level 50 (only 2 weeks worth of content, pathetic). WAR was fun all the way to the end and I'm still enjoying the constant RvR in endgame.

WAR is a very fun game, if you aren't a QQ'er. WAR's real top problem is the attractiveness of destro over order, which has created some pop balance concerns. But the right servers don't have these problems at all. So it all depends on what server you are on.

Waiting for: A skill-based MMO with Freedom and Consequence.

I played this game for 2 months,  And that was enough for me.  Around level 20 the game just becomes a grind.  RVR Scens.. you can only do them maybe twice before you start losing your mind.  Not to mention at about lvl 20 groups and character sightings outside of town are non existent.  And scenario'n till lvl 30-40 is in now way appealing.  I played order.. Tried all the characters.. This game just isn't for me,  It was cool at first, but just turns out to be like all the others.. Keep Seiges are easy unless their is some type of opposition from the other team..

Give it a few months maybe.. A new class or two.  The order side just doesn't have enough tanks.   It was a good idea for a game, but just doesn't have any long term delivery.

I quite disagree here. WAR is boring if you make it boring. It is very simple - if you sit in a warcamp the whole day waiting for scenarios to pop then it's your own problem. If you can't get off your ass to join a guild or at least /lfg for PQs then it's your own problem. If you can't be bothered to get off the beaten track and look for some of the gazillion of hidden exclusive content then it's...

Funny I remeber how the WAR fans always came to the AOC forums cutting down AoC saying how great WAR was gonna be etc etc.  in the end seems they are both about equal. (thought different to be sure)

As much as I like to denegrate WAR, in no way can I compare it AoC.  AoC was a travesty from beginning to end.  It was buggy, incomplete, imbalanced and unstable.  It may have had great graphics and sound but the actual game design was something I would have expected 5 years ago.

    Waiting for the next thing
