Sorry, I had to do the above title. 
Well yeah, after posting this link in an edited post of mine, I decided it would likely be neglected without a thread of its own. Alright everyone, please bear with me on this one. Both sides of the spectrum, keep your hands to yourselves.

At the very bottom of the page, the last poster comments that the final patch is 20 gigs in size. Now, seeing as the thread is on an AC board, but is under the topic of Darkfall Beta leaks...I'm not 100% sure of his audience.
Does anyone happen to know if an Asheron's Call patch, was 20 gigs in size. If not, we may have a semi-confirmation...And a permanent ban from this site, for myself.
But yeah, power to the people, and please grace us, not bring us down, with your input.
*EDIT* For the hell of it, I'm adding in a "Truthiness Poll" express your thoughts in it, if you feel that words aren't enough.
Also, to back the argument that the poster is a beta tester, his post-count is huge.

Patch that size would have to be a graphical update face lift. I know AO is getting a huge graphical update. Sure it's not for AO Funcom's other MMO?
I couldn't tell you. I've only played a handful of MMOs, Asheron's Call, wasn't one of them.
I only played AO for a day, four years ago. ( I believe)

The whole Asherons Call client size was like 450 mb.
So uhh yes. A 20 GB patch back in the year 2000 when most PC hard drives were 10GB or 20GB or maybe 40GB. Uhh, that's believable. A 20 GB patch for a 450 MB game.

If it's true then then they may be talking about the game. If the first thing that you download is a launcher/patcher program then the first 'patch' is really the whole game.
Given Funcoms present financial situation, and the fact AO still has less than 20k total subs makes the idea that a graphical overhaul will happen pretty remote at this time. Plus "O" and "C" are pretty far apart on the keyboard, so doubt it was a typo.

As far as any permanent bans go, the most you might get is a warning ( and I doubt even that ). Linking to a post on another public forum where someone anonymously posts unverifiable info on Darkfall on another public forum is at most hearsay/rumor/speculation. It's no different than "My friends' moms' best friends' dad told me......".
Thanks, wasn't sure. Not that I care though. I mean, the post does seem solid. I don't really believe he has any reason to lie, unlike some people *stares at mcpoopy*.
I don't believe it's a case-closed thing, hell, even I voted that I didn't know. But I do believe it's a reassurance that Adventurine's not actually screwing things up again.

Oh, it could be real. Point is, it might not be. Now if the guy was posting ingame screenshots or a screenshot/video of the client or something like that, you might have been in trouble.
I really didn't expect that companies would ever go to such a length to keep knowledge of the inner-workings of their beta from the public. I'm assuming you're talking of Adventurine taking action, not MMORPG.com. I honestly think, either taking action against me for posting a link to leaked photos is ridiculous, but whatever floats their boat.
