Anyone know whether jboots will be obtainable in game? I am hoping they are not because it would make those of us that  preordered  feel not as special.... I want to be special image

    This is a good question Morydin. I would hate to have pre-ordered to get the boots simply to find out that thy are not that hard to come by. Though as I understand it the pre-order boots arent supposed to be all to impressive.

    from what i have been able to find out. .the ancer is no.. the only way to get them is by pre ordering.. and even then you only get one pair nomatter how many char.. you make

    I bought the character creation disk but also pre-ordered, so does that mean that I will be able to get 2 journeyman boots since I will have 2 codes?

    No.  You didn't buy the character creation kit.  When you pre-order, you get the character creation kit free.  The code for the boots is in the character creation kit and not in the retail box that you will be sent when the game goes live.  So, you will only have 1 code.

    I bought the character creation disk at Best Buy where they sell just that for $10. It came with a code for Journeyman boots.

    What most stores are doing is taking a deposit on the preorder... I would assume that your $10 is going towards the purchase of the game when it is released. As far as 2 j boots... each account can only have one code applied to it. The only way you could have 2 is if you pay for 2 subscriptions.

    I'm in the process of doing the quest for them, however I'm currently stuck on a step that is not updating.

    The Jboots, along with a number of other items from EQ are available via Heritage quests. I'm also working on the Greater Lightstone, and Ghoulbane heritage quests at the moment.

    Others include Dwarven Work Boots, Shiny Brass Shield, Stein of Moggok, FBSS, GBS, PGT, Manastone, Serated Bone Dirk, etc. Most are mid 20, to mid 30s quests. Some come from NPCs, some are from items, like the Ghoulbane quest, which comes from a low level quest reward that most people sell off for 6cp.

    The jboots are not why I preordered, nor the CC disk. I preordered because I know Im going to like EQ2 and I want it in my hands asap.

    its on the official site, but the dragon is collector's edition only. the talking statues of antonia and lucan and poster of qeynos and freeport comes with all editions.
