Only the isle. Get TSO, it's the last expansions and includes all previous.

Having just downloaded the trial today you get the complete game :)

The bad news (as far as i was concerned) was that:

    1. The download took 23 hours at around 100-200 kb/sec

    2. The game preformance was terrible. After hours of tweaking and looking online i finally gave up. A computer that can play AOC on high settings but chokes on a 5 year old game even on medium (balanced) settings is just not good. On this point thou it may not be an issue for you, it ran fine for my girlfriend.

Pity, i was kinna looking forward to it too...

EQ2 is more processor-intensive than other games (most others are GPU-intensive). Between 1gb and 2gb of RAM, the difference is HUGE. Also, it seems like the game runs smoother over time. Have you tried the tweaking guide on these forums? I used them and my game runs perfectly fine.

It's pretty easy on your machine if you have a decent Cpu and Ram attached, i play on custom high with my 2.0ghz dualcore and 2gig ram :p

I can't even play Aoc on medium btw <<

And oh, if you don't wanna waste money on the latest expansion you can just toss like 20bucks to the rise of kunark bundle pack (which gives you TWO free months if you are a new player to Eq2)

I've never tried to run AoC. I know my computer would not be able to handle it. That being said, I run EQ2 on medium settings most days but it can handle the higher settings depending on how populated the zone I'm in is.

I had to buy another 1gb of RAM to be able to run the game smoothly though. EQ2 has a problem in that it does not let go of RAM like it should and I don't know how to fix that problem. Before I upgraded I had serious lag and sometimes my game would crash because there was no more memory left. Now that I have more RAM I don't have that problem.

You werent playing on a EU server, where you? They lagg horrible, in that case try a US server. Once I changed, my performance was excellent on my old computer (A P4 3,2 with 2 gigs ram and 7900 card).

The rumour is that SOE use old crappy Everquest servers for their game in EU, the difference is stunning in EQ2 (and I heard the same thing about Vanguard, didn't try it however). If you guys don't believe me, just try a character on both and see the difference.

I just started the 14 Day Trial also. So all I have to do is pay the $14.99 fee and I get to keep the game and all expansions?

Korv, I believe you get all but the last one.  The last one was just released last week :)

with the trial you get to play the entire world but have to stop leveling at 20 thats the lock

you cant use the brokers, you cant join a guild, you cant whisper people unless they add you to their friends list. you cant do a lot of shit in the trial.  they give you a taste and restrict you heavily

my computer runs eq2 flawlessly and aoc on high settings just fine and its not even that good

and yeah you get everything that has been released up to kunark

eq2 is a great pve game, i think its the best pve game out. there are a lot of things to keep you busy.

on my server, antonia bayle RP, you can quest, grind, craft, decorate your house or guild house, explore, track down collectables, sit around with players and RP

stay away from pvp servers though, they are a nightmare and if your not fully mastered on your skills with mythical gear you dont stand a damn chance

I rolled a Human Templar on Antonai Bayle. I remembered it was  the server that everybody talked about.

I wish you luck Korv and keep an eye open for Jalathan or Rhapsodee if you need anything.
