How about 1 link to a Developer quote? Please? Just one.
It's in the FAQ on the website.
What happens when my character dies?
When your character dies he drops his items that remain on his corpse until looted, but the good news is that he's resurrected at a spot you've previously selected.

Thanks. Yes.
Now where does it say "ALL your stuff may be looted?"
??
That is NOT what it says.
For example - in PotBS there is 'unsecured' and 'secured' items. Maybe I am just being picky(?) but this doesn't say everything is available to loot.

I am new to the game and really looking forward to it after reading several forum posts, so please, be nice regarding my question(s). In pvp looting: When you get killed by a fellow player, is is possible to loose all of your stuff?
Yep. You will be running around in the most basic items 99% of the time.

I like how you were taking about not using the word fanbois and common sense together and no one provided a dev quote.
In fact, you're right, I can't provide a certain quote. But that's because they have stated this so many fucking times that it's very hard to give just one quote on that. They have said it like a million times, more probably a gazillion times.
And I don't understand why you need a very very specific quote on that. Wasn't the one above enough? Do you lack the common sense to understand that when someone's saying that your items drop when you die, without saying anything other on the matter, that it means all of them? The whole bunch? Is it that hard to understand this?

What I am saying - to be perfectly clear - is that I can not find where the Devs have said any such thing.
Swearing does not make you seem smart or any more right.
What I am saying is that the fans of the game have taken a dev quote - which is NOT 100% clear I might add - and discussed it to death amongst themselves to the point where they have given it a definition.
So, if the Devs have said it so many times - provide a quote - it should be easy?
FWIW I have seen this before with other games. I have seen people 'quote' Devs and when a bit of digging is done it turns out that a Dev did NOT in fact say that - or anything of the sort. The quote was in fact some forumite who got a bit above themself and started telling everyone "the game will be like this - the Devs have said so!" (much like you are doing here)
Now on the issue in question:
What happens when my character dies?
When your character dies he drops his items that remain on his corpse until looted, but the good news is that he's resurrected at a spot you've previously selected.
Many MMORPGs do this - but the key word - which is missing in this case is "ALL".
In many MMOs you get 'drops' but they are a percentage of what is carried. The example I gave of PotBS refers to cargo - but in that case you do NOT drop ship fittings or items.
In a game like Darkfall that might equate to Dropping items in your Backpack but NOT your Weapons and Armor?
So... rather than attempt to prove how superior you are by using words that would make your mommy ban you from the internet for a week... show me the Dev quote stating what you claim.

Haha, first of all, you're the first the tried to insult the followers, and since I'm one of them, me. So don't get butthurt when I insult you.
Second, what part of full loot don't you understand? They have been advertising the game as that since the start of the project.
And for the love of god, since you're so interested in this game, do a little research, as I said, this is so easy to find, even you could do it.

This is why I will be putting all my effort into the Naked Fighting Skill. It won't be pretty, but it will be cheap.
Really? from what I've read it doesn't sound like you'll even like the game especially if it delivers on it's promises.
why bother? I mean you'll have to shoot your bow if you wanna get better at it.
Bow? Pffft! That would just get looted. Naked Fighting my friend, all the way. No gear, no weapons, no clothes.
I will start and entire Naked Guild.
Heh... that might be very fun. I'll join with you Ihmotepp.
Would be kinda funny to have a group of 10-15 wandering around with no gear whatsoever and just using bare fists or spells for damage.
If we kill someone though... then we aren't naked any longer... although if we don't equip it they won't know who is holding their stuff.
Anyway, will be interesting to see how viable that bare-fisted fighting is. If it's viable at all... I could see quite a few adopting this "strategy".
It's teh classic Monk class from D&D:
The Monk is a character class in the Dungeons & Dragons role-playing game which is typically portrayed as a master of martial arts. It is loosely based on the stereotype of Shaolin Buddhist warrior monks. The Dungeons & Dragons monk specializes in unarmed combat, with no use of armor and only special "monk weapons," such as kama or nunchaku. The monk class, as with other classes of the Dungeons & Dragons game, utilizes a spiritual element, "Ki", that augments their fighting through the use of special abilities gained with experience. These powers and abilities are not traditional magic spells as would be gained from other similar character classes such as clerics and rangers (which also rely heavily on the Wisdom attribute). Attacks by an unarmed monk are soon treated the same as a strike from a weapon with magical enhancements.
Monks gain increased speed, attacks per round, high saving throws against special attacks, and immunities unique to the class as experience grows. Monks become increasingly difficult to hit because of their Dexterity and armor class bonuses. Monks can gain high spell resistances, making them dangerous to mages, but, in some circumstances, can be overwhelmed when attacked by many enemies at once.
"Darkfall features full, unrestricted PvP, conquest, and full loot. When a character is killed, he can lose everything on his person so he'll need replacements. Clans going to war need to be able to re-supply their fighters and get them back into battle as soon as possible."
I have included the following sentence to your quote here too, as it also restates the point questioned by Gyrus - everything on the character's person is available to be looted.

The Nudist Guild? or The Strippers Guild?
Nah, I like Ihmotepp's version... Naked Guild. Who knows it might be one of the biggest and best Guilds in all of DarkFall.
Good enough?
I'm not dissagreeing with you, you have posted a perfectly valid quote.
Unfortunately the link you provided points to Darkfall peek 18, which does not include the quote.

Thank you bloowolf.
(FWIW I looked at GeniusSage's link last night before going to bed and thought "WTF?")
Okay - full loot it is - I stand corrected.
Nothing says irony like spelling ideot wrong.
