hello everyone im just starting been wanting to try it for awile now and was wondering wat the community was like ia it still active or dead.

Yes, the community is still very active. See previous post. Also, the next mod will bring a level increase. There will also be a new marketing push by Turbine at the end of the year or beginning of the new year, so watch for a population increase during that time.
Yes, still plenty of forum activity, plus we have player run forums like House Tharashk (for players on Thelanis)
My experience with MMO forums is that if the players aren't complaining the game is dead.
