Swordsman fighting

I just saw something, well, unusual a while ago while logged in the game - a swordsman fighting some otters. Ok, that didn't sound as weird as it should but the swordsman is not a main character, he's a wandering merc suddenly engaged in a fight. I'm sorry if I sound such a noob at the moment but I really didn't know that was possible. It got me curious though - if I stopped by that merc and suddenly tried to hire him (after his fight of course), would he had some experience gain? I mean, I know when you hire a new merc, they will always be at level 1, right? So would that scene change anything or meant anything?

That is pretty cool. I haven't seen a wandering mercenary fighting a monster(particularly an otter). Where did you see it? But I do not know if they will hae an experience after fighting those monsters. If they will gain some experience, that will be a good hire.

If I remeber correctly, I was going to Phnom Penh from Hong Kong at that time so I it's around that area... I was really surprised when I saw that because I didn't know that was possible. I'm now regretting not stopping to see how the fight went and all... But, I'm not really interested for another swordsman since I already have one. Anyway, if I saw another one, I'll definitely stop and see.

I read that after a certain level be it you or your mercs, you can retire them to go fight on their own and you get rewards in return.  I will try to find the thread from the main site forum and post the info here if you all are interested.

I've heard that that the developer added a new game feature, and possibly is that it is the thing you encountered, I've read somewhere that a wandering mercenary can now go in a battle even if he has no master. Tha's what I've heard, no necessary source, it was just hearsay, but if you said that you saw it, then it might be.

A great way to level up low mercs is to give money to new players and earn EXP for doing so. You can start doing this at level 30+ if you give a new player 10000 gold you'll earn like 2k EXP for each of your characters.

yeah!  that will do ive done somtimes its better to party other players in order to level up your merc faster right. it can add your exp.
