Hallo. I'm working on a scool project about MMORPG and would like your help with it. Answer the questions and earn a couple of Karma points. Thanks in advance.

    Currently SWG (about 1 month) and WoW Beta (a couple days)

    Why do you play?

    Because it's fun to be in such a large world, to interact with others, to build a character

    I am male and in my teens and i play because i am sick of single player rpg's which dont offer anybody to complete with.  No matter how "Non-linear" they say they are there is always the same few endings.  So i play for the diversity.

    What MMORPG are you playing and for how long?

    None right now, but just quit EQ was playing for 4 years and I just quit DAoC was playing that for a year. everything else in my profile besides the afor mentioned games was no more than 5 months but always more than a month each.

    Why do you play?

    No other game provides as much content and character to gameplay as rpg's do.  MMO's just expand the horizon of possiblities by leaveing alot of dynamic characteristics to the gameplay as apposed to most single player rpg's which provide the player with a set story or pattern to adventure through.

    Are you member of a clan?

    No!

    How much money have you spent to be able to play (Monthly fees)?

    The most I have spent per game was no more than 15 $'s a month.

    Have you ever bought something in-game-related (better character or weapon) for real money? Why?

    No, detracts from gameplay if you just aquire a much better weapon or character without earning it.

    It passes time, it's fun to make cyber-friends, it's also great to make a powerful character and show off how good you are with it.

    20.00$ Canadian Dollars per month

    I sended money by Paypal to a girl so she would cyber with me in-game... wait no... that's a joke!  I never did anything like that... including paying girls.  So the answer is No.  Why?  Because who the hell spends their hard earned --real life-- money for something that does not exist?   image

    Why play?

    Because I like playing with other people, and also its fun to show off new armor and equipment to others hah. xD No, im joking, but, yeah, its fun to play with actual people characters, that thinks, and can respond to you, unlike NPCs. o.O

    Nada, nothing.

    What MMORPG are you playing and for how long? None ATM, waiting on WoW/EQ2, neen playing for 5 years.

    Why do you play? I'm entertained by it. I like the fact that the games are built upon thousands of players rather than just a handful

    Have you ever bought something in-game-related (better character or weapon) for real money? Why? No, because it takes away from the game. If I can't get it in game then I don't deserve to get it.

    Currently playing Shattered Galaxy(3 years), Planetside(~1 year). Waiting for WoW to add that to the list.
    Why do you play?
    Stress relief.

    I have been a member and/or officer of several guilds. Not currently in one except Azure Twilight in Planetside.

    Oh lots...Money is not so important to me. Probaly because I have alot of it.

    Yes, but usually only on PvP servers. I think I once bought some AO credits when I was starting that game again for the 2nd time. I don't buy charecters...If I can't enjoy the leveling process what's the point in playing?

    Just quit DAoC after 3 years and waiting on WoW :)

    Why do you play? I am a long time PnP role player and origenally got in to MMOs to continue our gameing circle. This has worked out well and now my circle is much wider.

    How much money have you spent to be able to play (Monthly fees)? ~$20 US because I typically have 2 accounts going.

    Why? I don't play to have the Uberest character, I play because I enjoy it.

    For a whole lot of reasons. At times I play so I can forget about my daily worries, or so I can just babble online (mainly SWG). I play PlanetSide because I like FPS games and it's great for a good adrenaline rush when you're craving for some action (I still play single player FPS games aswell). EQ I've been playing for so long and it's showing its age, I don't play as much as I used to (have less free time aswell now), but I still log on from time to time to chat with friends or just mess around doing a quest or a task, trying a new trick or things like that.Are you member of a clan?
    No. I am a member of a guild in EverQuest and an outfit in PlanetSide. I just can't cope with player organizations being called clans, reminds me too much of Counter Strike... not fun.How much money have you spent to be able to play (Monthly fees)?

    Nope, and I keep a safe distance from games involving real world money in their economy. To me a game is a game, I see the need to pay a monthly fee for maintenance and profit of the company running the game, but that's as far as real world money gets involved in those games.Thanks in advance.

    37 male , Why play?  I'ts mostly for the adventure. Other reasons too ,like my real life sucks and its a good break .. lol .  I've played everquest for bout 4 years but after retireing my 50 to 60 level toons i decided to look for other play ,for instance ive been desperately waiting for pirates of the burning sea it looks like an awesome game and a good change from killing rats for levels. lol.. I like the sound of a more realistic econmy that more depends on other players . (hehe and the possibilities of developing a credible force for world or sea wide dominince by joining forces with other players) also sounds real cool  and thats why I play.

    Currently awaiting release of Everquest II. I have played Ultima Online for 4 years, but quit after they started taking all the fun out of it, Asheron's Call for 1 year, and a little bit of Everquest.

    Why do you play?

    Its fun creating a roleplaying persona, fighting the forces of evil, and kicking guys butts image.

    Are you member of a clan?

    At one time I was part of the second largest guild in Ultima Online, but have cut most of my ties with them since quiting.

    Probably total of around $500.00 (anywhere between $10.00 and $24.00 per month).

    NO! I think that takes the fun and lifelike process of gameplay.
