Hello this will be a fairly long post.So hear me out.It's coming from the heart.
Ok I've searched for mmo's for the longest time.Ever since i stopped playing Star Wars Galaxies.Played It for over 5 years.I'm having problems of even finding anything that compares.I'm tired finding & playing games that are Orcs,Mages,& elf type games.We need something more realistic.Like a good Samurai game or something that can really happen.Maybe like greek mythology game thats not BS.Tried Entropia Universe It has a good idea with there crafting systems.As do other games.RUNESCAPE I said It!Yes I hate it to,but if made into a real 3D mmo with a differnt name & done right would be great.
We just need a game that has a real feel to It & good crafting.I'm not sure that game is real.Anyone know what I'm talking about?I mean how many of you are tired of mages in your games?I'm talking something perhaps on the line of a Harvest Moon Online just with more.I dont know Its hard to explain.
Also would like to see a Tron MMORPG,but thats a little off topic

I'm an older gamer that is just tired of fairies lol

So the OP says he is tired of Orcs/mage type games n you say DF is comming out? Tell me, isn't there orc/mages in that game?
As to the OP, fantasy seems to be the popular one to see these days. I suspect some of the games to be released in the next year or so may not be so fantasy based, possibly a bit more futuristic. Best ya can do is wait n watch to see what comes along. I agree the fantasy thing, tho I enjoy it, has been way overdone.

You want a sci fi setting, and sandbox game play.
More than likely, you don't want to play as a space ship, you want to play as a person, so EVE is out.
That means, sorry, nothing fits right now. Maybe some company will make a sci fi sandbox game in the future.
The games that i've been looking into is yes kinda sci fi.

Those won't release for awhile.Sci Fi has caught my eye more than other mmorpgs.Anarchy Online was an ok game.I've heard of Eve,but how long you think that game will stay online?It's kinda dated isn't It?I know Its still popular though.Heard Its kinda unfair but I don't know
I guess I may just have to wait for Star Trek yeah? lol
I'd suggest a try at EVE tho, free 14 days can't go wrong

It's actually going to be online for a loooooooong time. This is the one game that I have only played for a few months (a year ago), that I can say unequivally will be in out faces for the forseeable future. They have already done a graphics update (which they barely needed) , and are currently threatening walkable stations. I didn't carry on with the game because I wasn't a big fan of the skill system (*which is very well done*) but I have a 10 gallon hat off to CCP. Eve is a quality game, in constant developement, and for once, not to balance, but to add.
I have minor interest in the othr three games. I will probably end up waiting for reviews of Star Trek (due to it's history) and Stargate, but I will try Bioware's game on release. I am one of the SWG Debris, but I won't pull that into the new game.
