So, how is Hoth??

in Star Wars Galaxies

Haven't read anything on this, I tried to log in for the free trial, but something prevented me from logging in, kept receiving error messages.

Just wondering if this expansion is saving the game, or has it been thrown together to try and retain the small cult following?

    I haven't played it, but I would venture to guess Hoth is both Starwarsy and Iconic tbh

    Tried: LotR, CoH, AoC, WAR, Jumpgate Classic
    Played: SWG, Guild Wars, WoW
    Playing: Eve Online, Counter-strike
    Loved: Star Wars Galaxies
    Waiting for: Earthrise, Guild Wars 2, anything sandbox.

    I hope so, however I suspect they threw it together as some slip shod hunting ground..

    It was fairly disapointing.  It felt like they put it together in hours instead of months.  The lag is horrible inside the instance with 8 people.

     

     

    The TCG however, has never been better.

    Lol, you'll probably have to play SOE's lottery (The Crappy Card Scam) to even ENTER the next "Heroic encounter".

    To answer your question, the content is ok but it is totally ruined by lag and other bugs.

    They're too busy working on the TCG to worry about such trivialities as SWG working as advertised.

    Hoth, from my experience, is fun. A little buggy at times, not nearly as laggy for me as some people say it is for them. But I've only gone in three times ... I can see how it can get old fast.

    I expected more after the extended time it took to put together.

    So I started to walk into the water. I won't lie to you boys...I was terrified. But I pressed on, and as I made my way past the breakers, a strange calm came over me. I don't know if it was divine intervention or the kinship of all living things, but I tell you, Jerry, at that moment ... I was a marine biologist.
