Ranged fighting class recommendations ?

in Vanguard: Saga of Heroes

I'm going back to the game on a trial basis.I love to play ranged classes. What would be you recommendations and rationale ? Thanks

    Ranger: They have a ranged style option no other class has.

    All casters are ranged classes while ranger isn't purely ranged.  Ranger's special ranged attacks use mana and unless raid buffed, it will run out rather quickly, at which point you'll need to go into melee.  And as for casters, it really depends on your play style and preference.

    Ranger is a very good choice, healing, debuffs, buffs, ranged, melee.. A jack of all trades so to speak.

    Would recommend Ranger and specialise at 15th in ranged.

    Now playing: VG (after a long break from MMORPGS)
    Played for more than a month: Darkfall online, Vanguard SOH, Everquest, Horizons, WoW, SWG, Everquest II, Eve

    Also, I believe they are allowing Dark Elves to become rangers.
