I'm coming off a year and a half long haitus from MMO's and I'm trying to find a game thatd be good to get started into, I've played a pretty big range of MMO's, so for the most part all suggestions are welcome.
I'm looking for a P2P game, prefferably western made, with a decent PvP system. No WoW please, I've played that game to hell and back and it's jsut gotten old at this point.

daoc!
best game.
but you probalby want WAR, people will come on knocking it but its a pretty solid game compared to pretty much every other one, and good rvr the whole way through.
The only game I can recommend is LOTRO + Moria expansion. Absolutey incredible, if you enjoy pve there isn't a better experience out there now. Though it would take you awhile you catch up and get into Moria.
It has pvp but different in feel from other games. There no serious reward system to it. Some titles and minor loot, but in LOTRO people that pvp, mostly do so just for the enjoyement of it. Not to farm epics, honor, or renown. Some people may find that more boring, other more fun, as its purer and the people invovled are more apt to cooperate.
I advise against Warhammer, even if pvp is your thing. The servers have serious pop issues. I'm not talking simply balance, but just finding enough people for regular fights. And the early tiers are quite dead at this point, its a long boring road to t4 now, and the pve in Warhammer is dull to say the least.
Warhammer is the right one.
Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning, also known as Warhammer Online, WAR or less commonly WHO, is a Realm versus Realm (RvR) game comprised of two separate factions: Order and Destruction. It's said that WAR would be WoW killer:
WAR is very good, but I heard EVE is pretty epic. If you haven't tried that give it a go. A decent player base but and the ones they have claim its great.
Give the trial to eve a shot, then go for WAR if thats not your thing.
Either way, hope you enjoy!
Enjoy : )
