So yeah, I've been staring at the games list for days trying to find a good MMO to play. I recently downloaded 2Moons but that was a load of fail because I'm in Australia and we are IP blocked. I've played WoW for 4 years and I'm completely over it. I own Guild Wars but I am disgusted at how singleplayer the game is. WAR was terrible, AoC was far worse. I'm currently playing Eve at the moment and it's great but I want to play something on the side. I own CoH/CoV but that game had little PvP involved and that drove me away from playing it a while ago. I tried Tabula Rasa and it was made of aids and fail. I played the LoTRO Beta and I really did like the game however its PvP is bad. Pretty much the only game I can see myself going back to is DAoC but everyone has moved on from that game and I can only see it going down the pooper in the future.
So anyway, what are your suggestions? I'm looking for PvP, that's all really, I don't mind the levelling PvE and getting gear PvE but ultimately I want PvP. Anything to look out for in the near future? Anything out now that I should give a spin. Oh and also possibly a game with a harsh death penalty like Eve Online or even yuck Runescape.

Try The Chronicles of Spellborn. It's a pretty great game, and very pvp oriented. Do a little reading up on the combat system and character progression first though, or you might be in for a shock. Don't listen to the Hype Meter, the game is actually in release now. You can play it on the euro servers via signing up with a euro IP (you can find instructions elsewhere if you look), or wait till January to play it on...wherever the servers for aussies are going to be located.

Nah, the site isn't down, mmorpg.com has the wrong link posted. I don't even know how that got in there, as it was never the site. The old site is www.tcos.com if you'd like to check it out. They've since updated to a pair of newer sites (one for eu, one for everybody else), but since those aren't all that active yet and this one has all the info from the last few years...well, that's why I'm directing you there. Don't forget to check out the videos...there's one, though I can't remember where it's hosted, that shows a bit of behind-the-scenes of the mob AI. It's brilliantly done, absolutely marvelous in what the dev was able to accomplish in how the mobs react. No more tank n spank garbage.

I recommend Vendetta-Online for PvP, they're offering a 30 day-trial for free through www.mmorpg.com. I've been playing it for several years and it can either be played casually or intensive either by yourself or with other players. Their main site is www.vendetta-online.com
I'm gonna try out The Matrix Online.Got sick of F2P games & I like Sci Fi.Played SWG for 5 years & WOW for maybe 1-2 years.I ordered It online for like $7.50 so It's not a bad deal since a month's membership Is $15.00 & you get a month free when you buy It.
I hear the population Is kinda low,but It's still alive by hardcore fans & thats all I need.Most people these days quit MMORPG's after like 1 day to a month just because there lazy & want everything handed to them.Then cry on these forums saying games sucks before they even know what Its about.
