Blizzard not to blame?!

Anyone ever think that their publisher Vivindi Universal is to blame and not Blizzard? VUG comes out with the release dates, their most likely in charge of the beta phases/dates as well. You think they forced blizzard to make an open beta soon anouncement even though they weren't ready? VUG posted those ads in the mags not blizzard....

They are to blame. VU is the publisher giving them the bad orders, but hell, it's blizzard, if they really want to not force the localisation or the beta dates, they can.
So they are to blame ! Stop trying to protect them behind VU.

Yeah blizzard is at fault... Vivendi isnt making them goof up and delay the game time and time again, chewing up more of their development money while the lazy blizzard staff sits around and does nothing... This game should have gone live a year ago, and it would have if Blizzard wasnt a company fulla bums.

Wow i wonder how you can live with yourself, anoyed of people who whine, when your doing it at the same time. Yup... i really wonder how... Oh and btw YES it is Blizzards fault, the SWG development team at SOE was better than this during beta, and THAT is not a good thing

If some big game company (e.g. VU) signed your pay checks for your whole company(Blizzard), would you go behind their back and stand to lose hundreds of employees and thousands of dollars? I think not...
It's funny how you can call them lazy. Really. Have you read some of the posts coming from the developers? Can you even imagine how many overtime they spend working into the wee hours of the morning writing code so people like you can play their game. You should thank these "lazy" people for spending so much of their lives putting together a videogame for your enjoyment.

I've actually been inside the offices of Ubisoft in Montreal, and I'll tell you right now, game developpers are FAR from lazy. They work like madmen, and plus they 'usually' love what they do, and thats an additional insentive to bring the gamers a game worthy of their time.

It makes no difference at all whether it is Vivendi or Blizzard's fault.. either way it was a mistake.

You people need to forget about WoW for a few weeks, let your blood start flowing smoothly and have your thoughts on track again. Taje a break from computers, try reading books and applying yourself into something else. Come back, and the OB will be starting up and you'll be happier, and will not have lost your mind as you would if you sat here all day waiting for an annoucement.
Well its very obvious most people don't know what a Publisher does.
They DON'T make release dates.
They DON'T set phase dates.
They DON'T handle any form of production.
They are a large invester, basicly. Blizzard uses they're funds to produce the game. Thats 3 years of work, somebody needs to write the checks. YES Blizzard COULD do this themselfs... Why Don't they? Well they are a publicly traded company, and the strains on their resources, and sceptic investers could cause their stock to drop. Why risk it? Afterall thats what publishers are there for.
Blizzard doesn't start making money till they start to sell.
Sorry, you're wrong. Most, if not all publishers, set dates for when the game needs to be done and released. Only the "big names" like Blizzard have any say in things.
No matter what you think, Vivendi surely is poking Blizzard with sticks to get them done, because they want their money and that's all they want.
Actually Blizzard have no say in anything. If Vivendi want the game to be released, it will be released no matter what blizzard says.
And anyways, were talking about Beta Phases here, so the publisher have no place in this discussion
