Any of them are fine now. Mergers will be coming in the next few weeks so the popuylation on all will go up plus after merges they are offering a 1 time transfer for free.

Well, he might as well just join in on the highest populated servers if thats what he want. Go Deathwisper, Tyrrany, Cimmeria or Set, Wiccana, Thog if you like PvE better.

    (OP)

Yes you should come back, AOC has improved alot.

Well in EU, ( Fury and Wildsoul are the best pvp servers)

Dont know about US, but think cimmeria is one of the higest pop.

It depends on why you left.

I found myself asking this very question to myself not long ago; and already Im regretting it.

The game still has no real endgame; but I'm told the level up to 20-80 isnt nearly as painful anymore. From what Ive seen, its the case. They also added a slew of supposedly interesting new areas that Ive yet to see.

I am in endgame pretty much right now and have absolutely now issues with content at all. I have problem to decide on what to do first. You have to look around more man, get yourself into a guild and start on the Black Ring of Mages (or whatever it was called). Noone, absolutely noone have been able to take down all those guys yet. If thats not a challenge I don't know. Imagine that, nobody even know what the drop is.

Take the above canned infomercial replies with a grain of salt.

FC fixed some of the bugs but the game is still lacking content.

End Game consists of grinding for mats and pvp titles.

The only big change is less crashes and disconnects, its still a holow, boring, incomplete, ill conceived experience.

Dude you are so out of it. Are you aware of that the content I talk about is really high end content that have been in from the start. It's just that most guilds can't handle those scenarios unless they have their shits together. There are a few guilds that have most of that engame content, but none have done it all, so please moderate your own talk some.

So there is  no End Content only Really High End Content?

And this 'Really High End Content', you farm it for what?? Gear???  AoC is intentionally non-gear centric **, so wheres the carrot?? Bragging rights to downing a boss no one can farm, to get get drops that do nothing, in a game no one plays?

    Hilarious.

**(supposedly they will one day fix that so makes a difference but not a real difference according to Craig Morrison)

I did not understand you or Pezz, but I do get that we are talking about the Black Ring Citadel. Are you aware of that there is a ton of content here that most of the end gamers have not done? The gargoyle master, Seruah, Chatha and so on a bosses that very few have taken down. The rest of the bosses noone have taken down. If this is not a challenge and a blast I don't know. The lack of end game content is quite exagerated.

I would in fact like to hear if anyone at any point ever have taken down the Black Ring Citadel. That guy or that guild should have a huge medalion, because that place is lethal shit. Lethal!!

After WoW, I refuse to waste my time raiding anymore. There is nothing worse than starting something at 8pm, finishing and going "WELLZ! I gotta head to bed for work". Sorry; but no. Never again.

The best raid guilds have done BRC wing 1&2, with the exception of Chatha. Chatha is impossible now, but is getting fixes in GU4. BRC wing 3 is not openened yet, so it is impossible to complete BRC and move on to tier three raiding.

For most guilds, the game's raid content is challenging enough for a couple more months, especially since many had to restart raiding after most of their players left during summer and early fall. A few of the top raiding guilds have hit the end of the raid content though.

Yes, come back to Age of Conan, the subscriber base is growing and the game is really stable, I'll be coming back as soon as I get a good graphics card

OP, please take the above opinion with a grain of salt. There is a certain element in every MMO who find fastest methods to rush to the highest level and then complain there is no content. In AoC these tended to be xp grind groups. They did few, if any, quests beyond the starter area and then complain that a game has no content...... they bypassed virtually all of it.

As far as "end game" goes, there is pvp and raiding, much like every other MMO. AoC is a very good MMO. Lot's of stuff to do and plenty of people around (especially on Cimmeria) to do it with. The game is instanced and pretty much has to be in order to support graphics of the level used. Instancing is hardly the end of the world and the load times are short. Zones are not tiny (contrary to what some of the learned posters on mmorpg might have believe) and are very well done.

Grinding for mats is something used in crafting. You don't HAVE to do it, but it's much cheaper than buying them off the trader. Selling mats on the trader is a great way to make money, especially tier 2 resources for some reason.

I'd advise re-subbing and giving it another try. It's a much better game than when it launched. What MMO launches as a so-called "finished" game?

You are playing a video game. By definition that means you are not hardcore.

dont come back, it hasent changed and it probably never will.

I'd come back in a year when theres actually something to do (if games still about then).  Played a little while ago for  a couple of weeks, and although the game was far more stable and ran very well.....there was still next to nothing to do that I hadnt already done 4 months previous.

i think a lot of peeps thinking about returning, i want to know if DX10 is implemented, apparently it has but some say it has not been.....Also are they still limiting the amount of charcters you can have to only 8?

  • tub0rgtub0rg Member Posts: 110

dx 10 will be in the next patch. i dont know if its life on the test realm.

yeah it is still 8 chars and the game hasent changed really. the amount of pvp xp to get a blue set is beyond insane too.

Yes, DX 10 is in the test server for testing as we speak.
