Not sure what he is talking about AOEing the relic though. If you aren't killing the defenders, then you shouldn't be going for the relic anyway. If that attackers are leaving you alive, of course you should do anything you can to keep them from getting the relic (aoe and cc included). My guess is some rogue tried to stealth to the relic and got revealed by an AOE and cried on some forum somewhere about it, and the OP read it and decided to use it to show that LW is fail.
I really have a hard time seeing the use of AoE period. If you're not killing the siege tanks you're hardly making yourself useful, if there's that many siege tanks in the relic room you have to AOE.... well you've lost already, lol.
I'm not seeing this... and frankly, as someone who likes WAR, it scares the bejeezes out of me. Waralytics.com is showing 900k guilded people on all servers now as of about two weeks ago. The previous update (before Thanksgiving) showed 933k, and before that it was over a million. Unless people have rampantly left guilds or deleted alts, this represents a serious stagnancy problem to me. 1.1 may have people playing more often--which is good--but I don't think it's actually increased subscription numbers. Granted the numbers aren't current since 1.1 went live, but I'm skeptical. Honestly, if they really want a boost, they need to announce an expansion. If I was working on WAR, I'd suggest getting the Choppa and Berserker live by Christmas, and announcing the races for the first expansion by Christmas as well (regardless of how long the expansion takes to develop). Admittedly, WAR is certainly not going to topple WOW, as many of us had hoped, but I think it still stands a chance of sitting comfortably at 1.5mm accounts if Mythic can get its act together. Here's hoping.
I am not sure about the exact timings, but I know that ALOT of people left/lost their guilds with transferring.
I had to disband my guild to be able to transfer it to the more populated server.
Besides this, people are talking again about WAR and the great RvR ( at work there are some guys still playing ), WAR is doing good atm I think.
I am still unsubbed, having fun in EVE Online atm, but I may someday return to WAR if Mythic keeps up the good work. I am still looking to find back the pure awesomeness and best gaming experience I ever had from DAoC SI era.
If WAR is somehow able to capture a part of this again, I will come back.

I'v seen an increase of people on my server (Karak eight Peaks)as well.
One reason for less characters guilded could be that if you kick out alts from the guild it will level faster...we tried this in our guild and we gained alot more guildlevels after kicking the inactive alts.

Odds are you are seeking that as a result of people moving to the server via transfers and the reputation that server has for being the place to be.
Also with the transfers that site will show a dip as people have to reform guilds once they move to the new realm if it still collects data by guiled players only. It took well over a week for my guild to reform once we moved during the mergers, so there were a lot of "unguilded" people during that time. If the European mergers are handled the same way, that statistic site may show a decline until everyone gets back together.
Mythic still has not fixed the endgame content. Forts still crash every time they are heavily defended. The only time you can capture one is off-peak hours. And because of this, most players still have not found out that the great endgame of city seiges is actually 95% a pve experience.
Sounds like another well known game that just came out with a large open PVP zone,
Severe lag, makes it unplayable.

A lot of the players are calling this zone a failure. Maybe you should stop trashing Warhammer and be more concerned about your own game.
Are you kidding? There is absolutely no lag problem or server crashes because of Lake Wintergrasp. Check the realm status forums on WOW.. not a single mention of a crash. I've done oRvR in LW almost every night at primetime and never even noticed lag, let alone had a server crash.
Now take a look at this thread, that ironically was started AFTER I made my post here LOL
Yes I am talking about LW and I did get my information from the WOW forums, Genearal an PVP forums to be exact, plus from friends I know that still play. It is a lag fest with server crashes, check the forums, it is all there for all to see.
If you are not seeing these problems I can only presume you are on one of the 50+ low pop servers, go ahead to World of Warcraft and count them. All this information is available for you to read.
