All class are easy to lvl , just some that goes faster than other .
My list would be 1- Warlock ( dot - lifetap - lifedrain till ur eyes bleed ) 2- Hunter 3- Feral druid when u get cat form .
And to the guys who said mage , ur wrong . Mage have to sit down to drink/east every 3-4 mob till they get some real gear in outland .
Having played 140 days on my warlock you're wrong about warlocks being the fastest. Easiest, yes. But not the fastest.Dont forget life tap (even dark pact later on) activates GCD. And drain life is not the fastest way to kill mobs. Warlocks are efficient and easy and amongst the fastest but not the fastest.
And mages are incredibly quick if you're not terribad. Good players can level a mage very quickly but by stating good I've dismissed 90% of people who play WoW - ie keyboard turning clickers who use default UI and no mods.
Problem with druid, and hunters as well, if you're just going to solo play you're not going have the best gear for your level since you're not doing instances. If you have a max level character with lots of gold from which you can mail stuff from to your hunter/druid then its fine. But just relying on quest rewards and uncommon drops wont help you much. And since on a lot of realms all XXX of the monkey gear is way overpriced you wont have the gold to buy much decent stuff from the AH since its your first character (unless you decide to buy gold)
Mages can kill quickly, can make their own food and water, can port to capital cities for training and are less gear dependent than other classes sub lvl 50.
well if u want to solo up to 50 and be able to do well in pvp i suggest keeping your rogue. Rogues are one of the best pvp classes in the game and there skills from 1 to 20 determine they will never be underpowered. hunters are a good way to solo to 50 and pvp is ok being a hunter too, but playing a hunter is really boring.
Thank you all for your opinions I have just started a Druid and seem to be lvling alot faster than my Rogue i kinda like the hybrid style of play i can kind of fear kite without the fear LOL <old EQ player> rooting and all. i have found that quest are easy to solo with him up to this point i reached lvl 8 in a matter of 2-3 hrs. I did find that i liked the Dwarf starting area a lot better than the elven area. im a talior and skinning is kind of a pain in the elven area but ill be moving on to biger and brighter pastures soon im sure...
I rolled a mage pre bc and still play it to this day. Go for a class like you enjoy the most and seems to suit your play style. You'll thank yourself in the end ^^
Today, I see any hybrids provides the best incentives (hybrids = any class that can heal,
namely: Druid, Shaman, Paladin, Priest) in the form of: - utilitity - having at least 3 playing style (or even different roles).
* Druid: - ranged dps / Mage playing style - melee dps / Rogue playing style - tank / Warrior playing style - raid healer (HoT-based)
* Shaman - ranged dps - melee dps - AoE healer
* Priest - ranged dps - pvp tank + dispeller + mana burner - single target healing - raid healer
* Paladin - melee dps - tank - best single target healing in the game
Good thing about WoW healer classes are - they bring so many goodies as hybrids: * party / raid wide buffs * debuffs on mobs that benefits the whole party / raid * it's always nice to have an extra player who can rezz
To me, it's World of Hybridcraft - this is not a bad thing, since this breaks the conventional
holy trinitiy party make-ups and allows players to experience and/or explore different aspects
of the game: in a meaningful way (I know that Hybrids are given a more-or-less trivial role in
other MMORPGs).
I see that the OP picks Druid - that is an excellent choice ! Out of all classes in WoW - to
me: Druid's the most versatile as it allows the widest selection of roles and playing styles.
Conclusion: "When in doubt, roll a healer." (at least in WoW)
