Hello everyone, I have noticed that eve was giving out free trials and though I should try it out. Ever since I played AoC, I will never play a mmo with out getting a free trial for it. But before I start, I have a few questions if you are so kind to give me an answer to.
Are there any good web links for intros or guides? I could not make use of the ones that was on the EvE’s main page, maybe I need to try out the game before I understand it, but just incase that will not happen, any good links will be nice
Also, as a starter, is there a better choice of ships that I might consider? Do orgs prefer some ships or professions over others?
I think that is all the questions I have for now, ty for reading, and ty in advance for those who can give advice

From what i know there is some pretty good beginner guide's on the official forums at www.eve-online.com
I can't remember any other links at this moment , the only links i would use that wasnt apart of eve online would be www.eve-agents.com and www.eve.grismar.net/explorer
Not that they explain alot about the game, but thoose are some of the tools people choose to use.
List of SOE lies
There is a 14 day trial on EVE site. However, if you wish, PM me your email address and I can send you a buddy key for 21 days trial instead.
And yes, I too (being a REH fan) was burnt crisp by AoC nonsense.
Ty for the replies, and the 21 day trial seems nice, but I already started, so I’ll see where it goes from here
If you are into the military side (shooting things rather than trading or mining), or just to make sure you get a char ready to have full fun with, this will give you some good info...

Well, you seem off to a decent enough start.
Keep your wits about you, be patient, try to see the big picture, and you'll be OK. Try to get into a decent corp if you can.
Also, get Evemon and Eve Fitting Tool if you haven't already.
