EU / USA server - new player -

I just purchased the game. I live in Europe, but cannot find any information about the servers. Are there EU and USA servers, or this game runs on a global server ?

Plus I will really like to know which realm I should choose? (prefer high population)

     i quit l2 a year ago but as far as i know teon and franz are the older eu servers where luna is a younger european server

    biggest population on a na server is probably bartz

    due to the fact that l2 has sieges and olympiad at fixed times i would suggest against playing on a na server as european unless your ok with being up at 3am

    for eu server there are 3 server franz/teon/luna franz and teon are most active.
