Social window search for 1-40 all zones came up with 3 people?

So i hop on my character I made near release and I join queue for all T2 scenarios..

After about 10 minutes I start to tap my foot..

Just out of curiosity I checked the social window and did a full search of 1-40 all zones.

Three people....

Im on the Bechafen server. Says Low pop but good grief. Are all servers like that?

No all servers are not like that. I was not happy on the server vortex and vortex isn't a dead server. But when i went to phoenix throne (very popular server) I found out what a great game WAR is. You want to pick a sever that is medium pop at 7am in the morning. those are the servers that are highly populated.

Also some players will be on anonymously so they dont get spammed by the gold sellers - so they wont show in the search.

There are plenty of anonymous people, who won't show up in a search like that, but there are also many quiet servers.

To be honest, the ones I recommend rolling on are: Phoenix Throne, Skull Throne, Dark Crag (for open RvR).  Those are the three most consistently busy ones.  Other okay choices are Sylvania, Red Eye Mountain.  A server like Vortex is okay in theory, but you'll notice a huge difference between the activity of Vortex and, say PT or ST.

The server I rolled on at CE headstart release, Ulthuan, is now pretty much dead as well.  It's a scandal that headstart servers are dead, but that's the whole issue of the release plan, which was FUBAR, in my opinion.

I decided to give War another try and reactivated my account.  I logged in played for a couple hours with my level 21 Shaman and was bored to death. I rarely seen another person in the game the entire time.  I logged out and canceled the account.

I'm just curious but any chance some of you were on servers that were source transfer realms? (which you might not know if you were away from the game for a while? Might be a bigger than life sign when you log in though, just guessing here xD)

Yes I know.  All of the crowded ones were headstart servers.  The scandal is that there are several other headstart servers that are ghost towns.

If you feel your server is a ghost town, check to see if it was one of the servers that Mythic offered transfers from.  The list and instructions on how to transfer to your new server can be found here:  accounts.eamythic.com/transfer/transferhome

In the OP's case, his server was one that they offered transfers off of, effectively killing that server.  However odds are that the new server will have a much better population...  It's defnintely been the case for me.  My original server was Skavenblight but the destination server, Ostermark, has a much healthier population but YMMV.

Log into (https://accounts.eamythic.com/transfer/transferhome) and check out server transfers.  They are free as far as I know and you really should transfer if you can.

Check out this web site first (http://www.waralytics.com/).  Pick the server with the highest T4 population that has the closest ratio to 10 vs 10 that you can find.  Some people mentioned some good servers that fall under that list in this thread. You can also check out my thread on that topic here (http://www.mmorpg.com/discussion2.cfm/thread/213606).

Don't know anything about the server you are on but I can tell you something about a large pop server, Badlands.  Many, many people have themselves set to anonymous.  While mythic has done more than any other developer as far as gold farmers and spammers are concerned, they are still a minor annoyance.  THe easiest way to not get hit by these spambots is to put yourself in anonymous mode so, when some does a search for active players they get next to nothing in return for it :)

If your server's pop is too low for your entertainment reroll on another server or do a character transfer :)
